Join us and lead the development of next-generation metrology solutions with direct impact on our clients and the semiconductor industry worldwide.\nWhat you’re going to do\nAs a senior mechatronic engineer, you are technically responsible for a subsystem or module - from the first concept to volume production and beyond. Working closely with System Engineering and the Architects, you will convert system-level KPIs into concrete designs. You’ll lead or participate in multidisciplinary teams for the design and realization of complex high-precision modules, ensuring they meet specifications across performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost etc.\nYour main responsibilities include:\nTranslating the performance requirements into subsystem concepts, functional architectures, and engineering requirements.\n\nTaking technical ownership of development projects for your subsystem/module, ensuring alignment between disciplines and stakeholders.\n\nMaking key design decisions - including motion system design, sensing, actuation, control strategy, and system integration approach.\n\nShaping the subsystem roadmap to align proactively with both company and customer technology roadmaps.\n\nLeading design trade-offs between performance, cost, manufacturability, and reliability.\n\nCoaching and guiding engineers within your project team; reviewing designs, simulations, and integration plans.\n\nSupporting the industrialization, validation, and successful release of your subsystem into manufacturing and field use.\n\nCollaborating closely with system architects, project managers, and lead engineers to ensure technical excellence and on-time delivery.\n\nWho you’ll be working with\nYou will join our high-impact, internationally diverse Mechatronics team and collaborate closely with System Engineering, Electronics, Software, Control, and Mechanics experts. We thrive in a knowledge-sharing, open environment where autonomy and technical leadership are encouraged - and where your ideas shape the direction of our technology.\nRequirements\nWho you are\nYou’re a systems thinker with a solid technical foundation and a passion for precision. You can navigate complexity, lead design teams, and enjoy translating abstract requirements into tangible, working solutions. You are comfortable working in fast-paced, high-tech environments, and you’re energized by solving tough engineering challenges with impact.\nYou have:\nA MSc or PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering or a related field.\n\nAt least 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong track record in mechatronic system or module architecture.\n\nDeep knowledge in areas such as: motion control, dynamics and vibrations, sensing/actuation, system modelling, and precision mechanics.\n\nExperience in multi-disciplinary development projects, from concept to release.\n\nStrong communication and leadership skills to align teams and drive technical decisions.\n\nProficiency with modelling and simulation tools (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, FEM, Python) and a data-driven mindset.\n\nA strong command of English, both written and spoken.\n\nRecruitment, consultancy and/or other agency?\nWe appreciate the interest, but we source all our candidates directly.
