We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced metrology machines for the semiconductor industry.\nWhat will you be doing?\nAs a Senior Mechatronics Engineer you will lead the design and optimization of precision motion systems and control architectures that power our high-throughput SPM metrology tools. You will own projects from concept to qualification, collaborating with physicists, electronics, software and applications teams to deliver nanometer-accurate, robust and manufacturable solutions.\nDesign high-stiffness precision mechanisms and select actuators (piezo, voice coil, linear motors, air bearings).\n\nDevelop control strategies (PID, feedforward, advanced loop-shaping) to achieve fast settling and high bandwidth.\n\nIntegrate sensors (interferometers, capacitive probes, encoders) and establish calibration/traceability.\n\nModel dynamics, run experiments (DOE), and validate performance under realistic environmental conditions.\n\nCollaborate across disciplines; document requirements, specs, and test procedures; support transfer to manufacturing.\n\nContribute to IP and mentor junior engineers.\n\nRequirements\nWhat do we require from you?\nMSc/PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering or Applied Physics.\n\n8+ years experience in precision motion systems for instrumentation or semiconductor equipment.\n\nHands-on experience with piezo/voice coil actuators, precision mechanics, and high-resolution sensing.\n\nStrong controls background and proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink or Python; familiarity with RT/embedded systems.\n\nClear communication and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams; fluent in English.\n\nWhat can you expect from us?\nA technically challenging role where you can apply the full breadth of your mechatronics expertise.
