Field Engineering team.\nAs a Software Service Engineer, you will operate at the forefront of advanced semiconductor manufacturing, supporting leading semiconductor manufacturers in Taiwan's most advanced production environments.\nThis is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will work with next-generation metrology systems, combining software expertise with system-level engineering.\nYou will be part of a lean, fast-growing field team, with significant ownership and direct exposure to customers, while collaborating closely with global R&D.\nKey Responsibilities\nSystem Installation & Qualification\nLead software installation, system setup, and configuration at customer sites.\n\nPerform system bring-up and validation, including license activation.\n\nExecute installation, operational, and performance qualification procedures.\n\nEnsure system readiness for high-volume production environments.\n\nSupport integration with factory systems (SECS/GEM, MES where applicable).\n\nSoftware & System Troubleshooting\nDiagnose and resolve issues across Windows- and Linux-based environments.\n\nAnalyze system performance (throughput, latency, CPU, memory usage).\n\nTroubleshoot across software and hardware interfaces (controllers, sensors, stages).\n\nWork with logs, telemetry, and monitoring tools to identify root causes.\n\nCustomer Support & Field Engineering\nProvide on-site technical support in cleanroom semiconductor fabs.\n\nEnsure high system uptime and operational stability.\n\nAct as a trusted technical partner to customer engineering teams.\n\nOwn and drive resolution of complex technical issues and escalations.\n\nFeedback Loop to Engineering\nTranslate field issues into structured feedback for global R&D teams.\n\nContribute system engineering, or software engineering.\n\nStrong Python scripting skills (automation, log analysis, debugging).\n\nSolid knowledge of Windows systems (Linux is a plus).\n\nUnderstanding of TCP/IP networking and system integration.\n\nNice-to-have\nExperience with semiconductor equipment or high-precision systems.\n\nFamiliarity with SECS/GEM or factory automation.\n\nExperience with Git or other version control tools.\n\nAdditional Requirements\nWillingness to work on-site at customer locations across Taiwan.\n\nAbility to work in cleanroom environments (ESD, gowning).\n\nWillingness to travel domestically as required.\n\nWillingness to travel to our headquarters in Rotterdam for training (9-12 weeks in total, divided into approximately three-week trips).\n\nAbility to read technical documentation and follow safety procedures.\n\nLanguages\nFluent in Mandarin Chinese.\n\nGood working proficiency in English.\n\nWorking Environment\nOn-site presence at customer
