As a System Architect, you will take technical ownership of one or more critical subsystems within our complex machines. Bridging the gap between system-level requirements and engineering execution, you will translate performance ambitions into concrete designs and ensure they are delivered to the highest standard. Your work will directly influence the performance of our products and help accelerate the next generation of semiconductor technology.\nWhat you’re going to do\nYou will be technically responsible for a subsystem from the first concept to volume production and service. Working across mechatronics, mechanics, electronics, software and control, you will cover all aspects to meet demanding performance requirements.\nYour main responsibilities include:\nTranslating system-level requirements into subsystem concepts, functional architecture and engineering specifications.\n\nTaking technical ownership of subsystem development projects and aligning all disciplines and stakeholders.\n\nMaking architectural decisions on sensing, actuation, motion design, control strategy and integration approach.\n\nShaping the subsystem roadmap in line with company and customer needs\n\nLeading trade-offs between performance, cost, manufacturability, reliability and serviceability.\n\nProviding context and guidance to engineers and reviewing designs, simulations and integration plans.\n\nSupporting industrialisation, validation and release into manufacturing and field use.\n\nCollaborating with system architects, project managers and lead engineers to ensure technical excellence and on-time delivery.\n\nWho you’ll be working with\nYou will join our high-impact, internationally diverse Mechatronics team and collaborate closely with colleagues in System Engineering, Electronics, Software, Control and Mechanics. Together, we design and realise machines that push the boundaries of semiconductor metrology. We share knowledge in an open environment, encourage autonomy, and value technical leadership. Your ideas will have a visible impact on our technology and product performance.\nRequirements\nWho you are\nYou are a systems thinker with a strong technical foundation and a passion for precision. You enjoy working at the interface of disciplines and thrive in a dynamic, high-tech environment where every day brings new challenges.\nYou have:\nAn MSc or PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related field\n\nAround 7 years of relevant industrial experience in multidisciplinary high-tech product development\n\nProven ability to translate performance requirements into subsystem architectures\n\nBroad technical knowledge, ideally with a mechatronics background, but mechanical engineers with relevant skills are also encouraged to apply\n\nExperience with multi-disciplinary development projects from concept to release\n\nStrong communication skills to explain complex problems clearly to different stakeholders and guide teams effectively\n\nLeadership qualities with the ability to take ownership, make decisions and coach others\n\nA good command of English, both spoken and written\n\nRecruitment, consultancy and/or other agency?\nWe appreciate the interest, but we source all our candidates directly.
