Our Nearform engineers are known for building high quality, scalable solutions that solve real world problems.\nAbout the Senior DevOps Engineer Role:\nAs a Senior DevOps Engineer at Nearform, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support scalable and reliable applications. Your key responsibilities will include:\nDeveloping and managing cloud-based infrastructure on AWS.\nCreating and maintaining deployment architectures and continuous delivery pipelines.\nDesigning high-availability and fault-tolerant solutions for applications.\nImplementing monitoring frameworks, including dashboards, alerts, and escalation processes.\nAutomating infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.\nManaging containerized applications and orchestrating deployments using Kubernetes.\nEnsuring security best practices are applied across CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and microservices.\nOptimizing system performance and scalability through observability and proactive monitoring.\nCollaborating with development teams to streamline deployment workflows and improve DevOps processes.\nAdvising clients on best practices for cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and system security.\nEngaging in technical discussions with stakeholders and supporting project execution to ensure timely delivery.\nAssisting with the analysis of client requirements.\nWorking with and supporting Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery.\nCollaborating with client teams.\nWhat we are looking for in this person\nSignificant experience delivering at a Senior Engineer level. Our Seniors typically have at least 6 years’ commercial experience.\nPractical experience and knowledge of developing real-world solutions.\nPractical experience of delivering in an agile environment.\nStrong experience managing and automating cloud-based infrastructure on AWS.\nProficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.\nHands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, ideally Kubernetes (K8s).\nExperience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.\nScripting and automation expertise, preferably with Python.\nExperience with observability tools and monitoring frameworks for system performance optimization.\nSolid understanding of security best practices across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\nProfessional proficiency in English.\nBenefits & Perks\nAnnual Company Bonus - We all help Nearform to hit company goals so we all receive a share of the profits on an annual basis in line with company performance.\nWork Remotely and Flexibly - We have a genuine dedication to work/life balance.
