You’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability of systems that are transforming how industries make critical decisions at scale.\nAt Nearmap, we need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to tackle new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.\n Strong expertise in backend technologies including Go and/or C#.\nDeep understanding of API design, cloud-native architectures (such as microservices, containers, events) preferably on AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability tooling.\nExperience with distributed storage or content delivery.\nProven experience leading backend engineering teams delivering scalable, production-grade APIs and platform services.\nDemonstrated success in building and maintaining distributed systems and data-access platforms in a cloud environment.\nEmpathetic and inclusive leader with strong communication and collaboration skills.\nProactive, pragmatic, and committed to high standards of technical excellence.\nComfortable working across time zones and distributed teams.\nComfortable making well-informed trade-offs between product delivery timelines, requirements and technical constraints\nA bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a comprehensive understanding of backend development principles,
