The salary stated will be subject to a term time only adjustment for the commencement of \nemployment outside of the start date of 1st September.\nPart Time: 39 weeks Hours: 30.00\nMon - Fri 8.15 am to 2.45 pm (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch)\nThe Governing Body is seeking to appoint an inspirational dynamic Literacy Intervention Teaching Assistant to help raise standards of literacy throughout the school in order to support pupils in the development of excellent literacy skills. The successful candidate will run small group literacy interventions for pupils to support student progress and engagement. Experience of working with children in an educational setting is essential but training in any specific packages or approaches will be provided.\nThe successful candidate duties will include:\nPlan and deliver small-group and one-to-one literacy interventions using specific programmes. \nSupport reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, and writing skills. \nUse evidence-informed literacy programmes and strategies. \nBuild positive relationships that encourage confidence and engagement with reading. \nPromote reading for pleasure and wider reading habits. \nWork alongside teachers to support pupils' access to learning. \nEstablish positive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and promoting high expectations. \nSupervise and support pupils, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and engagement in learning. \nSupport pupils with a range of learning needs. \nUse a person-centred approach to support individual pupils and help them achieve their potential. \nPromote effective use of the school library. \nManage literacy intervention resources and materials. \nMonitor, track, and evaluate student progress, adapting provision where necessary.
