Whether you are interested in pursuing a research career or supporting our mission through other roles, joining NEB means contributing to meaningful scientific progress in a collaborative, campus-like environment that values both innovation and integrity.\nThe role\nWe are seeking a Process Development Associate to prepare and qualify Master and Working Cell Banks; perform quality control testing on GMP- and non-GMP-grade cell banks; maintain cell line storage and traceability; and support cell line engineering activities. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficient hands-on laboratory techniques.\nHow you’ll contribute:\nPrepares all Master Cell Banks (MCBs) and Working Cell Banks (WCBs), including cell growth and suspension in freezing solution, vial preparation, and vialing.\nPerform all GMP and non-GMP grade cell bank QCs.\nEnsures proper transfer and placement of cell banks into correct storage locations.\nAssists the strain manager to ensure accurate documentation and traceability of engineered cell lines and associated product source information.\nAssist the strain manager in cell line engineering.\nPreparation and maintenance of competent E. coli strains for in-house use.\nPerform routine environmental monitoring.\nPerform other related duties as needed.\nRequired Qualifications and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in microbiology, biochemistry, or related field with 1 year of relevant experience.\nHands-on experience with qPCR, DNA sequencing and standard molecular biology techniques.\nExceptional organizational and communication skills.\nExcellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.\nAbility to work flexible hours is necessary to meet development and manufacturing needs, structured around an M-F first shift schedule.\nWhat will make you stand out:\nProficiency in bioinformatics\nExperience using Geneious software.\nExperience working in Benchling.\nExperience in strain engineering.\nEstimated base salary hiring range for this position is $56,000-$65,000\nBase salary is one component of our generous total rewards compensation package.
