Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.\nThe role \nThe Facilities Manager leads a multidisciplinary team of technicians and contractors, oversees maintenance and capital projects, manages vendor performance, and drives operational excellence through continuous improvement, sustainability initiatives, and proactive risk management.\nKey Responsibilities\nCritical Facilities Operations\nLead the day-to-day operation of all critical facility infrastructure.\nEnsure the availability and reliability of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.\nMaintain compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and uptime objectives.\nOversee 24/7 operational support, including incident response and escalation.\nEnsure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and Method of Procedures (MOPs) are current and followed.\nLeadership & Team Management\nLead, mentor, and develop Critical Facilities Engineers and Technicians.\nManage shift schedules, staffing, training, and performance evaluations.\nFoster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nCoordinate contractor and vendor activities to ensure quality and compliance.\nMaintenance & Asset Management\nDevelop and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.\nManage maintenance planning through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\nMonitor equipment lifecycle performance and develop replacement strategies.\nEnsure maintenance activities minimize operational risk and downtime.\nInfrastructure Management\nOversee the operation and maintenance of:\nElectrical distribution systems (MV/LV)\nUPS systems and battery plants\nStandby diesel generators\nAutomatic Transfer Switches (ATS)\nChillers and chilled water systems\nCRAH and CRAC units\nAir Handling Units (AHUs)\nPumps and hydronic systems\nHeat exchangers\nBuilding Management System (BMS)\nFire detection and suppression systems\nSecurity and access control systems\nHealth, Safety & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with Finnish occupational safety legislation, EU directives, environmental regulations, and company policies.\nManage Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and contractor safety programs.\nLead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.\nPrepare for and support regulatory inspections and internal audits.\nFinancial & Vendor Management\nDevelop and manage the facilities operating budget.\nReview maintenance contracts and service agreements.\nMonitor vendor performance against established KPIs.\nSupport procurement of equipment and facility services.\nReporting\nTrack and report key operational metrics, including:Infrastructure availability\nPreventive maintenance completion\nMean Time to Repair (MTTR)\nMean Time Between Failures (MTBF)\nPower Usage Effectiveness (PUE)\nEnergy consumption\nSafety performance\n\nPrepare operational reports for senior leadership.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline.\nMaster's degree is an advantage but not required.\nExperience\nMinimum 7 years of experience in critical facilities or mission-critical operations.\nAt least 3 years of leadership experience managing technical teams.\nExperience in hyperscale data centers, colocation facilities, hospitals, power generation, or industrial operations is highly desirable.\nTechnical Knowledge\nStrong knowledge of:\nCritical electrical infrastructure\nHVAC and cooling systems\nChilled water and hydronic systems\nBuilding Management Systems (BMS)\nData Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM)\nComputerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)\nReliability and maintenance best practices\nRisk assessment and root cause analysis\nCommissioning and integrated systems testing\nPreferred Qualifications\nDegree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.\nOccupational Safety Card (Työturvallisuuskortti).\nHot Work Card (Tulityökortti).\nFirst Aid (EA1) certification.\nUptime Institute Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS) or similar critical facilities certification.\nProject Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is an advantage.\nFluent English is required;
