Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.\nThe role\nAs an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll support the design, review, and development of critical electrical infrastructure, including low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on data center design experience who can drive technical decisions, coordinate with partners, and ensure designs meet operational and regulatory requirements.\nTravel: This position will require on-site presence at data centers.\nYour responsibilities will include: \nReview electrical design packages for data center projects, including internal concepts and third-party partner designs.\nSupport development of electrical design concepts for high-density data center environments.\nEvaluate UPS, LV, MV, and HV electrical infrastructure.\nReview cable distribution, electrical pathways, and design coordination with data hall layouts.\nPartner with mechanical, construction, commissioning, and operations stakeholders to ensure designs are buildable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.\nAssess designs for concurrently maintainable data center operations and high power-density environments.\nHelp identify alternative design solutions, product options, and technical tradeoffs.\nWe expect you to have: \n3+ years of experience with electrical systems in large-scale data centers or other critical infrastructure environments.\nProfessional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 2 years.\nExperience designing, operating, commissioning, or maintaining electrical distribution systems.\nStrong knowledge of UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution equipment.\nUnderstanding of medium- and high-voltage electrical systems and protection schemes.\nExperience leading engineering teams and driving technical projects in complex environments.\nAbility to manage internal stakeholders, consultants, vendors, and outsourced project teams.\nKnowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NFPA 70 and UL requirements.\nExperience with power system analysis tools such as SKM, ETAP, or Cymcap.\nAbility to interpret construction drawings, support commissioning activities, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.\nIt will be an added bonus if you have: \nExperience with neocloud, GPU, or AI infrastructure data centers.\nExperience at hyperscalers, colocation providers, or mission-critical engineering environments.\nFamiliarity with high-density rack environments.\nExperience supporting design reviews through commissioning or operational turnover.\nKey employee benefits:\nHealth insurance: 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and families.\n401(k) plan: up to 4% company match with immediate vesting.\nParental leave: 20 weeks paid for primary caregivers, 12 weeks for secondary caregivers.\nRemote work reimbursement: up to $85/month for mobile and internet.\nDisability & life insurance: company-paid short-term, long-term and life insurance coverage.\nCompensation\nWe offer competitive salaries ranging from $115K to $225K OTE, which includes base salary and bonus.\nJoin Nebius Today!\nPay Transparency\nWe offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
