Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.\nRole Overview \nThe Financial Controller is responsible for owning the month-end close, ensuring financial accuracy, and managing statutory and indirect tax compliance for assigned entities. The role requires strong analytical skills, ownership, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. To the Financial Controller will be allocated entities from several EU countries with Finland as a primary focus area. \nKey Responsibilities \nOwn and execute the month-end close, ensuring accurate and complete financial data. \nAnalyze variances, explain key movements, and monitor financial trends. \nSupport complex and non-routine transactions (e.g., large deals), assessing their impact on local financials and coordinating with Tax and Legal teams. \nMaintain and execute statutory and tax compliance activities (VAT, CIT, regulatory and statistical filings, financial statements, local audits), including maintaining a clear compliance calendar. \nSubmission statistical reports to government authorities. \nPost and document statutory and tax adjustments in the ERP system. \nEnsure accuracy and consistency of financial data across systems (e.g. NetSuite and local reporting tools). \nCoordinate with Tax, Legal, and external consultants to ensure timely and accurate submissions. \nCoordinate with local and group external auditors during audits and reviews. \nEnsure compliance with internal controls (SOX controls) and maintain proper documentation. \nIdentify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities. \nKey Qualifications \n8+ years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting. \nExperience in a Big Four firm is a plus. \nStrong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP. \nExperience in multinational or multi-entity environments. \nFamiliarity with statutory and tax compliance processes. \nExperience with ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus). \nAdvanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset. \nProficiency in English is required; knowledge of Finnish is a plus. \nCompetencies \nStrong ownership and attention to detail. \nAnalytical and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to manage deadlines and multiple priorities. \nResilience and ability to work under pressure. \nEffective communication and stakeholder management. \nContinuous improvement mindset. \nBenefits & Perks:\nCompetitive compensation\nCareer growth and learning opportunities\nFlexibility and ownership\nCollaborative and innovative culture\nOpportunity to work on impactful AI projects\nInternational environment and talented teams\nWhat's it like to work at Nebius:\nFast moving - Bold thinking - Constant growth - Meaningful impact - Trust and real ownership - Opportunity to shape the future of AI \nEqual Opportunity Statement:\nNebius is an equal opportunity employer.
