Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.\nThe Role\nNebius is building next-generation data center infrastructure across the APAC to support high-density, GPU-driven workloads. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support the design, review, and technical development of mechanical systems for data centers across the APAC portfolio.\nThis role is ideal for a Mechanical Engineer who can take broad ownership across data center mechanical design, evaluate technical options, and work closely with electrical, construction, commissioning, and operations teams. The right candidate can operate independently, review third-party designs, and help Nebius build scalable, maintainable, high-density data center environments.\nResponsibilities\nReview mechanical design packages for data center projects, including internal concepts and third-party partner designs.\nSupport mechanical design development for high-density data center environments.\nEvaluate mechanical design options for air-cooled and liquid-cooled data center architectures.\nCoordinate closely with electrical design, construction, commissioning, and operations stakeholders.\nReview designs for maintainability, operational resilience, capacity, and alignment with Nebius standards.\nHelp assess technical tradeoffs, alternative solutions, product options, and design risks.\nSupport design reviews tied to power density, airflow, cooling capacity, and operational readiness.\nRequirements\nData center mechanical design experience.\nStrong understanding of mechanical systems in mission-critical or data center environments.\nExperience with air-cooled data center design.\nAbility to evaluate mechanical capacity, flows, and design assumptions.\nAbility to review design documents, technical proposals, and partner deliverables.\nAbility to read and interpret contracts, design requirements, and technical standards.\nStrong communication skills with internal stakeholders, external design partners, and construction teams.\nBroad engineering ownership mindset; able to manage the full mechanical design scope rather than only a narrow specialty.\nNice to Have\nExperience with liquid-cooled data center technologies.\nExperience with hyper-scale, neocloud, GPU, or AI infrastructure data centers.\nExperience at companies such as Lambda, CoreWeave, hyperscalers, colocation providers, or mission-critical engineering firms.\nFamiliarity with high-density rack environments, including 50kW to 200kW per rack.\nExperience supporting design reviews through commissioning or operational turnover.\nBenefits & Perks:\nCompetitive compensation\nCareer growth and learning opportunities\nFlexibility and ownership\nCollaborative and innovative culture\nOpportunity to work on impactful AI projects\nInternational environment and talented teams\nWhat's it like to work at Nebius:\nFast moving - Bold thinking - Constant growth - Meaningful impact - Trust and real ownership - Opportunity to shape the future of AI \nEqual Opportunity Statement:\nNebius is an equal opportunity employer.
