Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.\nThe role\nNebius is looking for an OFCI Equipment Procurement Manager - Data Centers to be responsible for the technical and commercial procurement of Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment for mission-critical data center facilities. The role ensures that long-lead, high-reliability power and cooling equipment meets stringent performance, redundancy, and availability requirements while aligning procurement schedules with construction, commissioning, and go-live milestones. \nThis position reports to the Procurement Manager US Team Lead and is a remote position serving the geographically distributed projects for the company. \nYour responsibilities will include: \nTechnical Scope & Engineering Coordination \nDefine OFCI equipment scope in collaboration with data center design, engineering, and construction teams \nReview and validate technical specifications, single-line diagrams, layouts, and equipment datasheets with data center design, engineering, and construction teams \nEnsure compliance with data center design criteria (Tier levels, redundancy, fault tolerance, uptime targets) \nManage technical clarifications, deviations, and vendor compliance matrices \nVendor Selection & Technical Procurement \nIssue RFQs/RFPs for critical data center infrastructure equipment \nLead technical and commercial bid evaluations with engineering stakeholders \nConduct vendor technical interviews and design alignment workshops \nNegotiate contracts covering performance guarantees, availability, FAT requirements, delivery milestones, and warranties \nCritical Equipment Oversight \nManage procurement and delivery of long-lead, mission-critical equipment, including: \nElectrical: generators, medium- and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs, busways \nMechanical: chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, heat exchangers \nControls & Monitoring: BMS, EPMS, SCADA, protection and control systems \nManufacturing, FAT & Quality Control \nMonitor vendor engineering, manufacturing, and testing schedules \nReview vendor drawings, protection studies, and control logic \nCoordinate and participate in FATs, integrated systems testing (where applicable), and inspections \nManage non-conformances, corrective actions, and technical change control \nLogistics, Site Delivery & Installation Readiness \nDevelop logistics strategies for oversized and critical equipment \nCoordinate international shipping, customs clearance, and just-in-time delivery \nEnsure equipment preservation, storage, and environmental controls on site \nSupport installation readiness reviews and contractor handover \nSchedule, Risk & Interface Management \nTrack long-lead items and procurement activities on the project critical path \nIdentify and mitigate risks related to capacity, lead times, factory constraints, and supply chain disruptions \nCoordinate interfaces between OFCI equipment and contractor-installed systems \nProvide detailed procurement and risk reporting to project leadership \nDocumentation, Commissioning & Handover \nEnsure completeness and accuracy of as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and warranties \nSupport commissioning, IST, and turnover to operations teams \nClose out OFCI packages in accordance with data center operational requirements \n\nWe expect you to have: \nBachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, (i.e. Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, etc.) or equivalent combination of experience and technical training. \n5+ years of experience in technical procurement or engineering for data centers or mission-critical facilities \nProven experience procuring long-lead, high-reliability OFCI equipment \nStrong understanding of critical power and cooling systems \nExperience with FATs, commissioning, and contractor coordination \nIt will be an added bonus if you had: \nHyperscale or colocation data center experience \nKnowledge of Uptime Institute Tier standards or equivalent reliability framewo\nCore Competencies \nTechnical bid evaluation and compliance management \nKey employee benefits in the US:\nHealth insurance: 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and families.\n 401(k) plan: Up to 4% company match with immediate vesting.\nParental leave: 20 weeks paid for primary caregivers, 12 weeks for secondary caregivers.\nRemote work reimbursement: Up to $85/month for mobile and internet.\nDisability & life insurance: Company-paid short-term, long-term and life insurance coverage.\nPay Transparency\nWe offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
