Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.\nRole Overview \nThe Payroll Systems Specialist delivers and improves the systems that support global payroll. The role coordinates new-country implementations and internal payroll and T&A system migrations, develops integrations and automation, and supports the selection and deployment of technological solutions supporting the team. It connects Payroll, People systems, Finance and Technology partners. \nKey Responsibilities \nSupport planningand deliveringpayroll-system implementations for new countries and migrations for existing payrolls. \nTranslate payroll and compliance requirements into configuration, data mappings, workflows and control requirements. \nCoordinate data preparation, validation, user acceptance testing, cutover and post-launch stabilisation. \nDesign and maintain integrations between payroll, HRand Finance teams/systems using secure files, APIs or middleware. \nManage system defects, vendor escalations, release impacts and the prioritisedpayroll-systems roadmap. \nMaintain data-quality checks, access controls, change documentation and evidence needed for audit-ready processes. \nIdentify and deliver automation opportunities that reduce manual work, improve control and make payroll operations more scalable. \nSupport the assessment and deployment of third-party systems, including requirements, testing and operational handover. \nCreate system documentation and training materials for users. \nLeverage existing systems, tools and AI to develop independent process workflows. \nKey Qualifications & Experience \nMust-have requirements: \n5or more years of experience in payroll systems, payroll technology or payroll implementation work. \nStrong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes and the data needed for multi-country payroll. \nExperience with requirements, configuration, data migration, testing, cutover and post-launch support. \nWorking knowledge of system integrations, including APIs, secure file interfaces and data mapping. \nAbility to manage multiple workstreams, vendors, dependencies and delivery deadlines. \nStrong analytical and spreadsheet skills, with careful handling of sensitive employee data. \nClear communication with payroll specialists, People teams, Finance, engineers and external providers. \nPreferred qualifications: \nHands-on experience with payroll system implementations or migrations. \nExperience with HRIS and ERP integrations, payroll accounting interfaces or identity and access controls. \nBasic SQL, API troubleshooting or low-code automation experience. \nCompetencies & Behavioural Traits \nStructured delivery with clear ownership of requirements, decisions and open issues. \nCuriosity about how payroll processes and system behaviour interact. \nPractical problem solving and early escalation of delivery or control risks. \nCareful testing and documentation before production changes. \nCollaborative communication across operational and technical teams. \nBenefits & Perks:\nCompetitive compensation\nCareer growth and learning opportunities\nFlexibility and ownership\nCollaborative and innovative culture\nOpportunity to work on impactful AI projects\nInternational environment and talented teams\nWhat's it like to work at Nebius:\nFast moving - Bold thinking - Constant growth - Meaningful impact - Trust and real ownership - Opportunity to shape the future of AI \nEqual Opportunity Statement:\nNebius is an equal opportunity employer.
