Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.\nThe role\nWe are looking for a hands-on Physical Security Systems Technician to support deployment, validation, and maintenance of physical security infrastructure across our sites throughout the United States. This role is based in New York, and requires frequent travel to support installations, upgrades, testing, and operational activities at multiple locations nationwide. \nThe ideal candidate combines strong physical security systems knowledge with practical IT infrastructure experience, including networking, Windows/Linux systems, storage platforms, and log analysis. They will ensure systems are properly deployed, validated, documented, and production-ready. \nKey Responsibilities \nInstallation & Support \nInstall, configure, and maintain CCTV systems (cameras, NVRs/DVRs, VMS) \nSupport access control systems (badging, controllers, readers, permissions) \nPerform hardware replacements (cameras, readers, controllers, cabling components) \nTroubleshoot physical security system issues across network, hardware, operating system, and application layers \nSupport Windows and Linux-based systems supporting physical security platforms \nAssist with storage systems used for video retention and evidence management \nTesting & Validation \nExecute system testing after installations and changes \nDevelop and run Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) procedures for new deployments \nValidate system performance, coverage, failover scenarios, storage retention, and compliance with design requirements \nIdentify, track, and help resolve issues found during testing \nVerify network connectivity, device health, and system integrations \nDocumentation \nProduce and maintain accurate technical documentation (network diagrams, device inventories, configurations, system architecture) \nCreate and maintain SAT reports, test cases, and validation checklists \nDocument system changes, incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions \nEnsure documentation is structured, standardized, and audit-ready \nDeployment & Operations \nSupport system upgrades, migrations, and new site rollouts \nWork with vendors and integrators to ensure quality delivery \nProvide on-site and remote support across multiple locations throughout the United States \nMonitor and troubleshoot system logs to identify operational issues and root causes \nEnsure systems comply with internal standards and security requirements \nRequired Qualifications \n2+ years of hands-on experience with physical security systems (CCTV, access control) \nExperience installing and configuring cameras and access control hardware \nExperience with system testing, commissioning, SAT, or similar validation activities \nAbility to produce clear technical documentation and reports \nSolid IT infrastructure knowledge, including: \nNetworking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing basics, PoE, DNS, DHCP) \nWindows administration and troubleshooting \nLinux administration, services, logs, and basic troubleshooting \nStorage technologies and capacity management fundamentals \nLog analysis and troubleshooting using system and application logs \nStrong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, operating systems, and networks \nAbility to work independently in remote locations with minimal supervision \nValid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States \nExcellent communication and organizational skills \nPreferred Qualifications \nExperience with enterprise VMS platforms \nFamiliarity with enterprise access control systems \nExperience in data center, critical infrastructure, or enterprise environments \nKnowledge of low-voltage cabling standards \nExposure to structured testing methodologies (SAT, UAT, commissioning) \nExperience with monitoring, logging, and system health validation tools \nFamiliarity with virtualization platforms and enterprise IT environments \nKey Traits \nHands-on and execution-focused \nDetail-oriented and structured \nStrong sense of ownership for quality and completeness \nClear and disciplined in documentation \nStrong analytical and troubleshooting mindset \nComfortable working across multiple sites and environments \nWilling and able to travel extensively throughout the United States (up to 75%+ travel) \nPay Transparency\nWe offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
