You will monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess their implications for the business, and translate complex issues into clear policy briefs, talking points, and advocacy materials.\nWorking with internal teams, you will help prepare stakeholder engagements, coordinate public affairs initiatives, and track commitments and follow-up actions. Your work will support informed decision-making, constructive stakeholder relationships, and Nebius’ reputation as a responsible AI infrastructure company.\nThis role suits a proactive professional with strong research and writing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You should be comfortable moving between policy analysis and hands-on coordination, with a clear interest in how technology policy affects businesses and communities.\nYour responsibilities will include: \nGovernment & Regulatory Affairs \nMonitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments relevant to AI, data infrastructure, and cloud technologies. \nSupport engagement with elected officials, government agencies, and public institutions in collaboration with Public Affairs leadership. \nDraft policy briefs, issue summaries, and position papers to inform Nebius leadership. \nCoordinate Nebius’ participation in relevant trade associations and policy coalitions. \nCommunity & Stakeholder Engagement \nBuild relationships with community, civic leaders, and project neighbors to educate on the benefits of AI, address concerns, and build the company’s social license to operate. \nCoordinate with local NGOs, schools, and workforce development organizations on community-focused investments. \nRepresent Nebius at community open house events and community forums. \nEstablish and manage the company’s Community Engagement Panel, a forum for two-way communication between Nebius and community leaders. \nCommunications & Advocacy \nCollaborate with the Communications team to ensure consistent external messaging related to public policy and community initiatives. \nAssist in preparing talking points, press materials, and briefing notes for leadership engagement with external stakeholders. \nTrack public sentiment, media coverage, and emerging issues relevant to Nebius’ reputation and policy agenda. \nInternal Alignment \nPartner cross-functionally with Legal, Policy, Compliance, and GTM teams to ensure business initiatives align with regulatory expectations. \nProvide timely updates and recommendations to leadership on policy risks or opportunities. \n\nWe expect you to have: \nBachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, or related field; \n5-7 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or external relations (preferably in tech, energy, or infrastructure sectors). \nProven ability to translate complex policy topics into clear business implications. \nExperience engaging with government entities, advocacy groups, or trade associations. \nStrong writing and external communications skills; ability to synthesize information quickly and accurately. \nExcellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills. \nAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including those opposed to development. \nAbility to travel as needed. \nCompetencies & Behavioral Traits \nStakeholder Influence: Builds trusted relationships with internal and external partners; tailors communication by audience. \nBusiness Acumen: Understands how policy, regulatory, and reputational factors influence business outcomes. \nExecution & Accountability: Manages multiple initiatives independently and delivers outcomes on time. \nStrategic Thinking: Anticipates policy and reputational risks; recommends proactive mitigation strategies. \nCollaboration: Works cross-functionally across Legal, Comms, and GTM teams to ensure alignment. \nYou’re welcome to work remotely from Edmonton, Alberta \nBenefits & Perks:\nCompetitive compensation\nCareer growth and learning opportunities\nFlexibility and ownership\nCollaborative and innovative culture\nOpportunity to work on impactful AI projects\nInternational environment and talented te\nPay Transparency\nWe offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
