Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.\nThe role \nWe are looking for an experienced Transportation Logistics Specialist to manage the full scope of IT\nhardware logistics across Europe and beyond - including racks, servers, and other data center\nequipment. The role covers domestic European transport between our warehouses and data center\nsites, inbound international freight from suppliers in Taiwan and other origins into Europe, outbound\nshipments from Europe as required, and logistics to and from Israel. You will also be responsible for\nRMA/RMS shipments and ensuring smooth, timely delivery of hardware across all lanes. This is a hands-\non, operationally focused role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent vendor management skills,\nand the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nLogistics Operations\nManage end-to-end transport of IT hardware - rack systems, servers, and other data center\nequipment - across all lanes: domestic European moves, inbound international shipments\n(primarily from Taiwan-based suppliers), outbound from Europe as required, and shipments to\nand from Israel.\nCoordinate inbound freight scheduling for both domestic and international shipments, including\nair freight from Taiwan and other origins, managing carrier and freight forwarder\nselection and delivery execution to ensure on-time, damage-free arrival at European sites.\nHandle all RMA and RMS shipments, including coordination with vendors, carriers, and internal\nteams to ensure accurate and timely processing.\nManage equipment transfers between company warehouses and data center facilities across\nEurope, optimising routes and minimising handling risk.\nMaintain full visibility over active shipments across all lanes and proactively resolve transit\nissues, delays, or exceptions.\nDevelop contingency plans and alternative routing strategies to ensure business continuity.\nManage time-critical air freight shipments where required, including carrier selection, booking,\nand end-to-end tracking to ensure expedited delivery of hardware.\nCoordination & Documentation\nCoordinate closely with data center operations teams to support staging, buffering, and just-in-\ntime hardware deployment.\nMaintain accurate in-transit inventory records and ensure proper chain-of-custody\ndocumentation for all shipments.\nManage all shipment-related documentation in relevant systems (Jira, TMS, or equivalent),\nensuring records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.\nManage customs documentation and clearance processes for all cross-border shipments,\nincluding inbound from Taiwan, transfers within Europe, and shipments to and from Israel.\nProcess and reconcile logistics invoices; manage payments for transportation operations,\nincluding ZIP payments to the appropriate vendors and partners.\nWork with the security team to establish and maintain secure shipment protocols and ensure\ncompliance with physical security requirements.\nCompliance & Quality\nEnsure all shipments comply with applicable regulations - including EU transport and customs\nrequirements for domestic European moves, EU import/export regulations for international\nfreight, and relevant cross-border trade compliance requirements for shipments involving Israel.\nManage VAT, duties, and customs declarations for inbound and outbound international\nshipments in line with EU regulations.\nMaintain audit-ready documentation for all logistics activities, supporting internal (SOX) and\nexternal compliance requirements.\nEstablish and enforce SLAs and KPIs with freight carriers, forwarders, and 3PL partners; drive\naccountability through regular performance reviews.\nIdentify and escalate compliance gaps or process deviations, implementing corrective actions as\nneeded.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with hardware engineering, procurement, finance, and data center operations to align\nlogistics execution with deployment timelines and business priorities.\nCollaborate with OEM suppliers (e.g., Giga, ASUS), primarily based in Taiwan, to coordinate\ninternational shipping windows, batch tracking, customs documentation, and inbound\nscheduling into European facilities.\nCoordinate with teams and partners in Israel to manage inbound and outbound shipments,\nensuring compliance with applicable import/export requirements.\nAct as the primary escalation point for European transport-related issues across internal teams\nand external partners.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives through KPI tracking, root cause analysis, and process\nstandardisation.\nPlanning & Cost Management\nForecast transportation demand based on data center expansion plans, hardware deployment\nschedules, and capacity needs across European and international lanes.\nIdentify cost optimisation opportunities through carrier consolidation, routing improvements,\nand smarter scheduling.\nTrack and report on logistics costs across all lanes, flagging variances and recommending\ncorrective actions.\nSupport data-driven decision-making through regular reporting, dashboards, and operational\nanalytics.\nRequirements\n5+ years of experience in transportation, freight, or logistics management - ideally within\ntechnology, data center, or hardware supply chain environments.\nProven experience managing both domestic European and international freight operations,\nincluding LTL/FTL, and air freight shipments, carrier and forwarder relationships,\nand 3PL coordination.\nSolid understanding of EU customs regulations, import/export procedures, and cross-border\ntrade compliance within Europe and with non-EU countries.\nExperience managing shipments to or from Israel is an advantage; familiarity with relevant\ncustoms and trade compliance requirements is a plus.\nHands-on experience with RMA/RMS shipment processes and reverse logistics flows.\nFamiliarity with TMS platforms, Jira, or similar systems used for shipment tracking and\ndocumentation.\nExperience managing large, heavy, or high-value freight (server racks, IT infrastructure\nequipment) is strongly preferred.\nExcellent organisational and documentation skills with a high standard for accuracy and\ncompleteness.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work cross-functionally\nacross technical and non-technical teams in an international environment.\nSelf-starter mindset with the ability to operate independently in a remote environment.\nBased in Europe; Amsterdam preferred, other EU locations considered.
