This position works closely with Facilities, Planning & Construction, clinical departments, operations, Infection Prevention, Environmental Services, Security, and other stakeholders to evaluate space needs, develop solutions, coordinate projects, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with healthcare standards. A Planner I is responsible for managing smaller-scale projects and requests from initial assessment through completion. This position serves as a primary point of contact for departments requesting space modifications, furniture changes, room refreshes, minor renovations, and other facility improvements.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, construction management, facilities management, engineering, business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nAbility to communicate effectively with clinical staff, leadership, contractors, vendors, and Facilities personnel.\nAbility to prioritize projects based on patient impact, operational needs, urgency, and available resources.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience coordinating projects, space planning, construction, facilities, healthcare operations, or a related field.\nProject management experience or certification.\nKnowledge of healthcare construction, infection prevention, life safety, ADA, and regulatory requirements.\nExperience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or similar design/planning software.\nNebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
