This will also include providing maintenance, and the continuous improvement of products, systems, and services to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.\nThe role involves diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, delivering proactive solutions, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.\nThe Implementation Consultant also contributes to the development of best practices, technical documentation, and process improvements, ensuring compliance with organisational standards and driving operational efficiency.\nThe Implementation Consultant is a hybrid role that will be based in our Long Eaton office 50% of the time, and work from home 50% of the time. There may also be a need for the Implementation Consultant to carry out site visits for installation, configuration and consultancy tasks.\nThe Implementation Consultant role is a customer facing role and regular contact with NECSWS customers is expected.\nDefines Service and Support Best practice\nInstallation and configuration of GIS software.\n\nReceiving and replying to technical support enquiries from a range of customers and working through issues\n\nGIS consultancy. Working with a range of customers to deliver Cadcorp consultancy services including creating, maintaining and administering customer databases on-site and in the cloud\n\nHandling database administration tasks, including backups, monitoring, alerts and data recovery\n\nCreating documentation, carrying out training courses online or on-premises for customers, and providing database support internally and externally\n\nBuilding relationships. Working closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide services to meet their objectives.\n\nWorking as part of the engineering team, and other technical teams across the business to resolve complex enquiries\n\nWorks to NEC Values and Expectations\nThe role holder is expected to fully embrace NEC Values.\n\nRequired\nA background in software implementation and relevant work experience\n\nExperience in technically supporting customers and working across multiple products\n\nWorking as part of a technical team and experience in handing off and escalating issues to other teams and management\n\nWorking in a Service Desk environment, handling a variety of complex of issues with customers spread globally\n\nA good knowledge of relational database management systems (for example Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle)\n\nDesirable\nExperience working with GIS systems and/or data.\n\nExperience working with IIS.\n\nExperience working with control room software such as CAD or ICCS.\n\nExperience of managing multiple customer problems at the same time\n\nExcellent communicator - Personal and Presentation Skills\n\nAn interest in Geospatial technologies\n\nExcellent analytical skills\n\nProblem Solving\n\nEnjoy working as a team\n\nSelf-motivated and enthusiastic to learn and develop\n\n We pride ourselves in offering an excellent benefits package, including an above average pension scheme.
