This will involve working with and across a wide range of stakeholder organisations. The post holder will ensure the programme is delivered in line with national standards and internal targets, providing an excellent screening service with the aim of early detection and prevention of hearing loss.\nMain responsibilities and opportunities:\nDirect line management responsibility for all regional Co-Ordinators, and overall responsibility for staff within the UNHS programme in Ireland.\nBe the main point of contact for the programme with all stakeholders (internal and external)\nEnsure business is operated in a profitable and efficient way.\nTo ensure that all records, documentation and audits are actioned and maintained appropriately and in accordance with appropriate legislation, and that confidentiality is maintained at all times.\nCapacity planning, rota management and workforce management.\nHealth and Safety assessment and training, risk assessment, business continuity planning, patient complaints/feedback, incident recording and incident investigation.\nAssess and monitor the performance of staff and processes ensuring the quality of service is of a high standard. Encourage and participate in training and educational programmes to enhance staff performance.\nTo be accountable for staff management and the overall overview of the screening teams work, monitoring attendance in relation to absence including sickness, annual leave and special leave.\nOverall responsibility and oversight of recruitment, induction, appraisal, succession planning and the continued professional development of staff, with recruitment activity undertaken by the management team. Providing guidance and support to managers throughout the recruitment process and acting as the key escalation point for people matters, working closely with HR on complex issues, investigations and formal hearings.\nThe Operations Manager has a responsibility for ensuring the overall running of all aspects of the screening programme, and the overall management of screening staff within the programme.\nResponsible for ensuring overall site/regional P&L, forecasting, invoicing, validation and monthly reconciliation.\nResponsible for ensuring overall site/regional reporting and feedback on all operational and KPI matters.\nTo have a flexible approach to the changing needs of the local service and the company as a whole.\n Experience with working in a healthcare setting\nExperience with managing staff, particularly large, remote teams\nManagement experience including performance management of teams and individuals.\nShow initiative and the ability to prioritise tasks and to use problem solving skills.\nBe able to use good effective communication skills both written and oral within a multidisciplinary team at all levels and with patients/stakeholders in a calm, sensitive and reassuring way. As well as the ability to work successfully across professional organisations and with a multitude of stakeholders\nMust display people management skills and the ability to lead a team\nThe post holder must be IT literate with experience of using bespoke screening database software and a knowledge of information governance\nCapability to work largely unsupervised, but with the responsibility of close supervision of other clinical/clerical staff within the programme.\nMust display a good level of initiative, ability to prioritise tasks and to use problem solving skills but must be able to exercise openness through consulting with line managers at all times\nMust be willing to participate and evidence continuing professional development (CPD)\nA full driving licence and your own transport to travel to and from venues and other places of work within the programme area.\nThis role is exempt from the Criminal Justice (Spent convictions and certain disclosures) Act 2016. Successful applicants will be required to provide full details of any previous cautions and convictions and undertake an enhanced disclosure with the Disclosure & Barring Service upon entry and thereafter every 3 years or the equivalent.\nEssential\nPrevious experience and proficiency with computer applications\nDesirable\nProficiency in Irish language and or any other language.\nPersonal Skills:\nExcellent interpersonal, organisational and communications skills\nFlexibility to travel within Ireland and UK\nAbility to work independently or as part of a team\nOwn car, Driving Licence\n Additional:\nCandidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the EU. Documentary evidence will be required.\nA full, clean Irish driving licence is essential.\nAll offers are subject to satisfactory vetting and reference checks.
