This is a hands-on technical role focused on designing, building, and supporting cloud-based data solutions across AWS and Azure platforms.\nThe successful candidate will have strong experience in data engineering, data integration, ETL/ELT development, data migration, data quality, and cloud-native analytics platforms. They will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions.\nCANDIDATES MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR UK SECURITY CLEARANCE FOR THIS ROLE\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop and maintain scalable ETL and ELT pipelines.\nBuild data integration solutions across cloud, on-premise, and third-party systems.\nDesign and implement robust data migration solutions, including extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and cutover activities.\nPerform data profiling, root cause analysis, and data quality assessments.\nDevelop and optimise data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse solutions.\nProduce source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and technical documentation.\nSupport data governance, security, and compliance requirements.\nWork collaboratively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.\nTroubleshoot complex data issues and implement sustainable solutions.\n Essential Skills & Experience\nExperience\nMUST be eligible for UK Security Clearance\nDemonstrable experience in Data Engineering.\nProven experience delivering complex Data Migration and Data Integration projects.\nStrong experience working with large and complex datasets.\nExperience working across both AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.\nDatabases & SQL\nStrong hands-on experience with:\nPostgreSQL\nMySQL\nMicrosoft SQL Server\nOracle\nAmazon Redshift\nAmazon Athena\nExcellent SQL development, optimisation, and troubleshooting skills.\nAWS Technologies\nStrong practical experience with:\nAWS Glue\nAmazon Athena\nAmazon Redshift\nAmazon S3\nAWS Lambda\nAWS Step Functions\nAmazon QuickSight\nMicrosoft Azure Technologies\nStrong practical experience with:\nMicrosoft Fabric\nAzure Data Factory\nAzure Synapse Analytics\nAzure Data Lake Storage\nAzure SQL\nData Engineering\nStrong knowledge of:\nETL and ELT design patterns\nData Integration architectures\nData Warehousing\nData Lake and Lakehouse architectures\nData Modelling\nData Profiling\nData Quality Management\nData Validation and Reconciliation\n We pride ourselves in offering an excellent benefits package, including an above average pension scheme.
