Markets business; in line with Nedbank business strategy.\nJob Responsibilities\n\nValuation of derivatives and markets instruments.\n\nDaily Profit and Loss validation, attribution and reporting.\n\nTrade Lifecycle Management, including setting up market data required to book & value trades and positions and trade documentation for complex trades.\n\nIndependent price verification and validation of market data.\n\nAnalysis and BI/MI reporting of trading data.\n\nClose working relationship with the Front Office and bridging the gap between the trading desks and support areas.\n\nProvide meaningful recommendations, explanations and highlights of concerns or anomalies by analysing and interrogating financial or trading information\n\nProtect the trading environment by ensuring controls are adhered to.\n\nEnsure accurate risk and position exposure by reviewing reconciliations and following up on unreconciled items.\n\nComply with relevant legislation by reviewing and submitting statutory returns timeously.\n\nUnderstand and meet stakeholders’ requirements through ongoing engagement.\n\nAssist in the achievement of group collaboration initiatives by identifying opportunities to create beneficial partnerships and synergies.\n\nEnsure relevant, best practice analysis and reporting by providing ongoing guidance and coaching to the team.\n\nMeet deadlines and targets through prioritising effectively, planning and communicating.\n\nMaintain high standards of analysis and reporting within defined timeframes by planning, organising and monitoring workflow.\n\nContribute to intellectual capital development by providing continuous motivation, mentoring, coaching and on the job skills training.\n\nAchieve business objectives within specific timeframes by scheduling and coordinating activities and identifying appropriate resources to perform these activities.\n\nManage defined risks in the finance function and risk categories at targeted values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems, process, services and solutions are aligned.\n\nIdentify training courses and career progression for self through
