Interns are required to work up to 20 hours per week with compensation of $17.00/per hour, during which time they will acquire hands-on experience in a theatrical office.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist with filing, scanning, and organizing financial records for easy retrieval.\nPerform basic data entry of financial transactions into the accounting system under supervision.\nSupport the team with accounts payable tasks, such as invoice coding and routing for approval.\nHelp with basic reconciliations of accounts, ensuring documentation accuracy.\nAssist in preparing simple financial summaries or reports as assigned.\nProvide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed.\nQualifications\nActively pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.\nBasic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.\nStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn.\nAbility to handle confidential information responsibly.\nGood organizational and time-management skills.\nLearning Outcomes\nHands-on experience with core accounting processes.\nUnderstanding of financial documentation and workflow in a corporate environment.\nExposure to general ledger, accounts payable, and basic reconciliations. \nLocation\nThe main office is centrally located in the Theatre District.\nPhysical requirements\nWhile performing the duties related to this job, the employee is regularly required to have visual acuity, talk, and hear while communicating with executives and other staff members. This position requires sitting, standing, bending, and walking.
