We offer a competitive salary, learning opportunities, and a range of benefits.\n\nThe Position:\nNeelands Group Limited is searching for a Construction Refrigeration 313A Apprentice (Term 3) to join our team at the Burlington, Ontario location. This is a regular, full-time union position with a full union compensation package.\n\nResponsibilities:\nAccurately measure and layout plan for refrigeration system installation in accordance with project plans and specifications.\nAssemble and install commercial refrigeration or cold storage units, including walk-in coolers/freezers and rack systems.\nInstallation of refrigeration lines\nCarefully read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper specifications\nMeasure, cut, and connect pipe to components and refrigeration systems using welding and brazing equipment\nAssist in the commissioning and start-up of refrigeration systems.\nEnsure the necessary materials required for the project are on hand and readily available\nHandle, store, recover, and charge refrigerants safely in accordance with environmental and safety regulations\nSafely perform pressure test once pipework is complete to test for leaks\nRepair and alter pressure system if leak or damage is found\nMaintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to health and safety protocols.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system issues (mechanical and electrical) under guidance or independently.\nSupport journeypersons in various installation and commissioning tasks.\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nRegistered 3rd year refrigeration apprentice \nMinimum 2 years of hands-on experience in supermarket or commercial refrigeration installation.\nStrong mechanical aptitude\nValid G license with a clean driver abstract\nAbility to travel when required\nFamiliarity with CO₂ refrigeration systems is considered an asset.\nWhat you Bring to the Team:\nA self-starter who is highly effective working independently and within a team\nFlexibility, along with the ability to operate well under pressure\nStrong problem-solving abilities\nAbility to perform in a high pressure, fast-paced environment\nA keen attention to detail\nA positive, hands-on, “can-do” attitude\n\nWhy join Neelands? \nBenefits\nPension\nCompetitive Salary\nPaid weekly\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nProfessional Development and Training\n\nNeelands Group Limited is committed to providing accessible employment practices that comply with Accessibility standards and regulations.
