This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact while working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.\nYour Role\nAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be a key contributor to component and system design, with responsibility for analyzing mechanical stress and deformation, fluid flow, load distribution, tolerancing, and design for manufacturability.\nYou will prepare detailed documentation and participate in in-depth technical reviews to ensure robust and scalable design solutions.\nWhat You Will Do\nDevelop and design components and assemblies for electrochemical cell stacks to meet functional requirements while minimizing cost; order and inspect components for compliance with specifications\n\nPerform engineering calculations to support design concepts, including:\nStress analysis / FEA for mechanical robustness\n\nCFD for fluid flow distribution\n\nTolerance modeling\n\nUse PTC Creo to create detailed drawings, assemblies, and bills of materials\n\nAssemble and test cell stacks and associated systems using equipment and hand tools\n\nPrepare test plans, technical reports, drawings, and assembly processes\n\nConduct research and testing to extend electrochemical cell stack functionality, including:\nIdentifying cost reduction opportunities\n\nImproving system reliability\n\nExploring new applications for existing technology\n\nCollaborate with the manufacturing team to:\nDesign for manufacturability and volume production\n\nDevelop inspection criteria\n\nEvaluate component suppliers\n\nSupport manufacturing in the disposition of non-conforming products and assist technical service teams with troubleshooting field returns\n\nThe above statements reflect the principal functions of the position and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the job.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nWe are looking for a hands-on, analytical, and collaborative mechanical engineer who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment. You bring strong problem-solving capabilities, a high level of ownership, and the ability to translate complex engineering challenges into practical design solutions.
