You will work closely with Product, Engineering and other internal teams to better understand customer needs in order to create new products and product features that will enhance and evolve FACTS SIS solutions. You will also mentor less experienced engineers and give guidance on adherence to best practices and development/quality standards. This will include engaging with resources that are located across the globe. While we work in a .NET stack with Angular, we value engineering fundamentals, passion and the ability to learn over specific tech experience.\nThis position offers a hybrid work option. Nelnet values flexibility and understands the importance of work-life integration. To be considered, candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.\nCompensation range for this role is $120,000-$150,000 annually depending on experience.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\nResearches, designs, implements and manages software applications.\nPartners with Product and Engineering team to define requirements.\nWrite, test, and implement efficient code.\nReview and provide feedback on pull requests.\nUse AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow.\nStay positive and solution-oriented with team members and stakeholders.\nEDUCATION:\nBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.\nEXPERIENCE:\n5+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise web applications using technologies such as C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, SQL Server, NoSQL databases, JSON, and RESTful APIs.\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes and Azure Cloud Services preferred.\nExperience with AI-assisted development tools and a forward-thinking approach to incorporating AI into daily development workflows to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.\nCOMPETENCIES - SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:\nStrong technical competency, with a logical, analytical, and creative approach to problem-solving.\nAbility to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and management on complex issues.\nComfortable working independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.\nAdapts well to change and focuses on continuous improvement. \nOur benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, HSA and FSA, generous earned time off, 401K/student loan repayment, life insurance & AD&D insurance, employee assistance program, employee stock purchase program, tuition reimbursement, performance-based incentive pay, short- and long-term disability, and a robust wellness program.
