We are growing our franchises and strengthening our capabilities.\n Position Purpose: The Automation Process Engineer position is responsible for maximizing effectiveness by proactively identifying ways to increase productivity, and efficiency, and manage human capital in a hi-speed assembly manufacturing environment.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nDevelops competencies of the production unit through internal and external training and development as needed\n\nDefine and update standard operating procedures (SOP) for production employees\n\nReports outcomes to the APU Shift leader\n\nSupport APU Shift leader and managers in analyzing shop floor issues and point of escalation\n\nPropose technical solutions to improve production processes and identifies opportunities to reduce cost, lead-time, and inventory\n\nAnalyze equipment’s performance indicators, define and facilitate corrective actions implementation (e.g.: CAPA)\n\nKnow, apply, and facilitate implementation of rules defined as part of Continuous Improvement of the plant and its team (5S, TPM, SMED, VSM, etc)\n\nFacilitate workgroups linked to continuous improvement and propose action plans\n\nAccountable of APU equipment’s improvement; documents and communicates proactively improvements in cycle time\n\nContact person for standard audits\n\nIs the production voice in industrialization projects (NPI phase 5-6: FAT, design review, specs review, ramp-up phase)\n\nAttend project review and transfer knowledge of new assets\n\nContribute to new equipment development, reception, and validation in production\n\nSME on APU processes and shares best practices through the organization\n\nFollows all safety procedures, including the use of PPE as required\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\n POSITION REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering required\n\n1 + years of experience, preferred experience in Manufacturing\n\nStrong math, reading, and communication skills required\n\nComputer skills, including Microsoft Office applications required\n\nAbility to lift 50 lbs, and stand/walk up to 90% of shift\n\nAble to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab and climb as needed\n\nPREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:\nSAP experience\n\nMechanical aptitude and experience with advanced problem solving\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced and multi-task environment with minimal supervision\n\n WORK ENVIRONMENT:\nWorks in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment that may include moderate noise levels. \nADDITIONAL NOTES\nThis Job Description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee and may be revised at any time by the Company.\nPAY RANGE: $90,000 - $115,000 USD, Salaried (This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
