Reporting directly to internal Legal Counsel, you will play a key operational role in supporting Neo’s Legal team across a wide range of legal functions.\nYou will handle high-impact, independent workflows-from managing corporate governance and contract lifecycles to conducting legal research and managing external legal ops. If you thrive in a fast-paced fintech environment, love solving operational challenges, and want to build a career in technology and corporate law with a fun, high-performing team, this is the role for you!\nWho We’re Looking For\nEducation & Credentials: Paralegal Diploma, Certificate, or Bachelor's Degree from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution (COPR/paralegal education equivalent preferred).\n\nExperience: 3-5+ years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Specialist within an in-house corporate legal department (technology or financial services preferred) or a reputable law firm.\n\nContract & Legal Operations: Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms, legal entity management software, and document black-lining tools.\n\nLegal Research & Drafting: Proven ability to conduct legal research, analyze statutory provisions, and draft baseline agreements, corporate resolutions, and correspondence under supervising legal counsel.\n\nCore Competencies:\nHigh level of sound judgment, analytical thinking, and discretion when handling sensitive corporate information.\n\nSuperior project management and organizational skills-ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision in a rapid-growth environment.\n\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nContract Drafting & Review\nConduct preliminary reviews, redlines, and issue identification for Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), standard service agreements, vendor contracts, and third-party agreements.\n\nPrepare initial drafts of commercial agreements, legal templates, amendments, and routine legal correspondence under lawyer supervision.\n\nManage contract execution workflows, ensuring appropriate authorization levels, execution tracking, and secure digital archiving.\n\nCorporate Governance & Entity Management\nPrepare, maintain, and manage corporate minute books, annual returns, resolutions, officer/director updates, and extra-provincial filings across applicable jurisdictions.\n\nOrganize and maintain centralized legal records, corporate calendars, and signature tracking systems.\n\nAssist with corporate structuring tasks, share issuance documentation, and due diligence requests for corporate transactions.\n\nLegal Research & Operations\nConduct preliminary legal and statutory research across Canadian jurisdictions (federal and provincial) to support strategic initiatives.\n\nOversee external legal spend, including managing law firm e-billing, invoice reconciliations, and budget tracking in collaboration with Finance.\n\nContinuously refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), legal playbooks, and template libraries to increase department efficiency and self-serve capabilities for internal stakeholders.\n\nTotal Rewards\nAs Neo continues to grow, we’re committed to offering a competitive, market-leading rewards program that reflects the impact our team members make.
