The intern will work alongside experienced professionals, support day-to-day activities and projects, and develop practical skills that provide a strong foundation for a career in accounting or finance.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist with monthly financial reporting, including preparing schedules, updating templates, and validating financial data.\nSupport accounting and financial analysis activities, including researching discrepancies and ensuring data accuracy and completeness.\nAssist with budgeting and forecasting by gathering data, performing variance analysis, and preparing summary reports.\nPerform cost, trend, and KPI analysis to support business decision-making.\nMaintain financial spreadsheets, databases, dashboards, and supporting documentation.\nPartner with Finance and cross-functional teams to gather information and complete assigned projects.\nAssist with process improvement initiatives and system-related projects.\nSupport basic financial modeling and other ad hoc accounting and finance activities as needed.\nQualifications\nCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.\nFoundational knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, functions, and spreadsheets.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nAbility to organize and prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.\nClear written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAccounting coursework or previous accounting/finance internship experience.\nExposure to ERP or financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.\nExperience with or interest in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.\nWHO IS NEOGEN:\nFrom farm to fork, we offer solutions to enhance the quality, quantity and safety of the global food supply.
