The position partners closely with R&D, laboratory, facilities, and operational stakeholders to promote a safe, compliant, secure, and efficient workplace.\nEHS Responsibilities:\nSupport implementation of EHS programs focused on injury prevention, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction within R&D and laboratory operations.\nCoordinate site EHS inspections, audits, corrective actions, and compliance activities.\nAssist with environmental compliance programs including hazardous waste management, chemical management, wastewater, stormwater, and regulatory reporting support.\nSupport incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.\nMaintain EHS records, permits, training documentation, and compliance tracking systems.\nCoordinate employee EHS training and awareness programs.\nSupport industrial hygiene, ergonomics, exposure control, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and related occupational health programs.\nParticipate in Management of Change (MOC) activities for facility, process, and laboratory modifications.\nCore EHS Program Support\nEnvironmental Compliance and hazardous & biological waste mgt.\nExposure Control and occupational health programs\nErgonomics assessments and risk reduction activities\nHazardous materials and chemical management\nRisk assessments and corrective action tracking\nContractor safety oversight\nTraining development and delivery\nIncident reporting and investigation\nContinuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma activities\nSite Facilities:\nServe as the primary local contact for facilities-related requests, maintenance coordination, contractor oversight, and facility improvement projects.\nPartner with Corporate Facilities on capital projects, maintenance planning, space utilization, and infrastructure upgrades.\nTrack EHS and facilities KPIs and prepare reports for leadership review.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and standardization efforts across EHS and facilities functions.\nSite Physical Security\nConduct routine physical security inspections of the site, including access control, doors, cameras, fencing, lighting, and security equipment.\nAdminister site access processes including badge requests, visitor management support, and coordination with Human Resources and site leadership.\nSupport site emergency response planning, drills, business continuity, and crisis management activities.\nCoordinate with contracted security providers, local emergency responders, and corporate security resources as needed.\nInvestigate and document security incidents, access control concerns, and suspicious activity.\nMaintain security records, procedures, and site emergency contact information.\nAssist with implementation of corporate security standards and site vulnerability reduction initiatives.\nBehavioral Expectations\nOwnership and accountability\nBias for action\nStrong attention to detail\nCustomer-focused support mindset\nEffective communication and collaboration\nContinuous improvement orientation\nHighest standards of integrity and compliance\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in EHS, environmental science, safety, engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.\n3-5 years of EHS, laboratory, facilities, operations, or related experience.\nKnowledge of OSHA, EPA, hazardous waste, chemical safety, and laboratory safety requirements.\nExperience supporting inspections, audits, training, investigations, and compliance programs.\nAbility to coordinate facilities maintenance and contractor activities.\nExperience with Microsoft Office applications and data tracking tools.\nAbility to work onsite in Minnesota supporting R&D and laboratory operations.\nAbility to travel up to 25%, or as required.\nAble to safely climb ladders, stairs, lift up to 50lbs, and wear a full-face respirator as needed.\nAbility and willingness to become CPR, AED & First Aid certified and provide emergency care as needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional EHS certifications (ASP, CSP, CHMM, OHST, or similar).\nExperience supporting physical security and access control systems.\nKnowledge of industrial hygiene and ergonomic assessment tools.\nLean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement experience.\nExperience within biotechnology, laboratory, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, or related industries.\nCome Be Part Of A Mission that Matters!From inside the farm gate to our dinner plates, Neogen protects the world’s food supply.
