To provide specialist advice and knowledge to the laboratory staff to ensure the successful implementation of Quality Management Systems that adhere to the requirements of ISO17025 and similar mandated quality standards. To manage the QMS to ensure we remain ‘audit ready’. To provide leadership and assistance in the laboratory’s day to day functions.\nProvide effective direct line management including appraisal, development, performance monitoring and competency assessments as well as supporting and motivating staff to problem solve and promote good practice.\n\nEngage with Accreditation Body assessment audits, delivering evidence of compliance, recognizing valid improvement actions, and managing their resolution.\n\nBe responsible for pro-actively seeking improvement to service delivery, responding to complaints or dissatisfaction, and implementing effective corrective actions.\n\nWork with Managers to identify opportunities to develop capabilities, innovation, improve efficiencies, and reducing costs where applicable.\n\nResponsible for implementation of quality management systems that meet accredited quality standards for ISO 17025, leading project plans and working closely with Technical Managers and Unit Managers to ensure compliance.\n\nSupervise and assist in the day-to-day activities in the laboratory with frequent updates provided to the Laboratory Manager. To carry out any other duties deemed reasonable by management.\n\nSupport the product line across internal departments (manufacturing, quality control, purchasing, R&D, sales, marketing etc.)\n\nSupport new product development and manage project team meetings.\n\nTabulates and graphs data and prepares technical reports for senior personnel.\n\nWork with R&D and technical services on necessary product validations.\n\nEducation and/or Experience:\nMinimum Bachelor’s Degree in physical science, chemistry, or related fields\n\nMinimum 3 years work experience with laboratory setting.\n\nMinimum 1 year experience in a technical management role is preferred.\n\nPrior experience of successfully implementing and managing a quality management system accredited to ISO17025 or a similarly robust conformity assessment standard is desirable.\n\nExperience in presenting scientific results to diverse audiences is preferred.\n\nExperience in diagnostic kit validation is preferred.\n\nWhy Neogen\nAt Neogen we believe that taking care of our employees allows them to do their best work.
