This includes assigning deliverables, tracking progress, and contributing as a hands-on operator. The role will act as the key liaison between the Manufacturing Manager and machine operators, ensuring clear communication and seamless execution of production targets.\nThis position is based onsite in Lansing, MI.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include:\nLead and participate in the execution of daily production tasks\nOperate and support key manufacturing equipment, including web coding, lamination, sledding, and web converting machinery\nServe as a hands-on operator while also supervising and coordinating team efforts\nLiaise between Manufacturing Manager and machine operators to ensure clear communication\nSchedule team activities in line with production planning requirements\nSupervise and support team members in day-to-day operations\nStep in for Supervisor or Manager during absences or off-hours\nProvide backup coverage for team members when required\nAssemble product components to meet quality and production targets\nMonitor and report on production performance and team metrics\nIdentify training needs and provide coaching and upskilling opportunities\nSupport continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements\nEducation and Experience required includes:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\n3-5 years of related work experience in manufacturing or machine operation\nExperience in label manufacturing is a strong advantage\nPrevious leadership or supervisory experience preferred\nFamiliarity with cGMP and ISO standards is desirable\nWhat We have to Offer\nAt Neogen we believe that taking care of our employees allows them to do their best work.
