Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines.\nSchedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES e mployee needs to be able to demonstrate an advanced knowledge of and proficient ability to complete all listed job tasks;\nSafely operate all necessary distribution equipment\nAble to train coworkers on all necessary distribution equipment\nUnderstanding of bar code scanner to include:\nPicking orders\nInventory look up\nInventory transfers\nHow to keep, save, and load an order\nSmall Parcel: UPS, Fed-Ex, DHL shipments\nCheck order for accuracy\nComplete paperwork properly\nProperly pack basic packages per work instructions\nTrained and can perform special product packaging requirements\nRun packages through shipping station\nPerform international and domestic shipments via small parcel carrier\nPerform international and domestic freight quotes\nTrained on how to pull, box, and ship all temperature-controlled items\nTrained on how to handle all Hazmat shipments\nComplete AES/ITN number for UPS shipments\nPallet orders: LTL\nUnderstanding of picking a pallet order to check\nPick accurately\nProper product layering\nFace out product labels\nCase count labelling\nPack loose items properly\nCheck order for accuracy\nPallet orders: TL/ Large orders\nPick accurately\nUnderstand special distributor requirements such as: (expiration dates, case quantity requirements, lot separation, palletizing requirements, keeping same items together, packing and labelling of gravity flow items)\nCheck order for accuracy\nPack all loose or easily damaged items properly\nComplete paperwork properly\nPrint address labels for multiple pallet shipments\nInternational Shipments\nUnderstands the use of heat treated pallets\nCustomer packaging requirements\nInternational packing list\nCommercial invoices\nSpecial customer requirements\nGravity flow items packaged and labelled\nNo partial cases\nNo split lots\nExpiration date requirements\nPrint address labels for multiple pallet shipments\nJOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nAbility to interface with management regarding duties and future development of department.\nMinimum of two years documented distribution/ warehouse experience in an outbound or inbound function.\nRF scanner experience desired but not required\nForklift certification desired but not required\nAbility to read, analyze and interpret common shipping reports and regulatory documents regarding shipping. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
