In this role, you will be responsible for managing product replenishment and developing supply plans through the review of forecasts, inventory levels, safety stock, and production requirements for both purchased and manufactured goods.\nAs a key connection between supply and demand, the Supply Planner serves as a primary point of contact across Manufacturing, Production, Sales, Quality, Customer Service, Laboratory, and other business functions. This position plays an important role in ensuring supply plans remain aligned with customer demand, production capabilities, inventory targets, and overall business objectives.\nThe ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who is comfortable working with ERP and planning systems, analyzing inventory and supply needs, and communicating across multiple levels of the organization.\nLocation: This position is remote with possible travel.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Supply Planner, you will:\nCreate and maintain supply plans utilizing ERP and applicable supply chain planning systems.\nEstablish, maintain, and implement planning parameters within ERP and supply planning systems to support business and inventory requirements.\nReview forecasts, inventory levels, safety stock, production capabilities, and other relevant data to develop effective replenishment plans.\nUtilize ERP and supply chain tools to support targeted customer service levels while maintaining appropriate finished goods inventory.\nManage purchase orders for buy/sell finished goods and coordinate replenishment activities as needed.\nExecute established supply planning processes and standard work while supporting adherence to key planning metrics.\nPartner closely with Manufacturing, Production, Sales, Quality, Customer Service, Laboratory, and other business functions to align supply plans with operational and customer needs.\nDevelop both short- and long-term supply plans to balance supply and demand while supporting customer requirements.\nSupport capacity planning, demand and supply synchronization, and execution against strategic business objectives.\nEstablish and maintain appropriate stock and safety-stock levels while proactively working to prevent excess and obsolete inventory.\nIdentify opportunities to improve customer service levels, inventory turns, inventory health, and overall supply chain performance.\nMonitor inventory availability and backorders, identifying potential supply constraints and escalating concerns when appropriate.\nCommunicate inventory status, backorder levels, supply risks, and planning priorities clearly and effectively across varying levels of the organization.\nAnalyze supply and inventory trends and recommend actions that support sustainable operational improvements.\nWhat We're Looking For\nEducation & Experience\nAssociate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Planning, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant education and professional experience will also be considered.\n2 or more years of experience in supply planning, inventory planning, logistics, production planning, purchasing, or a related supply chain function preferred.\nExperience working with ERP, MRP, or other supply chain planning systems preferred.\nAbility to analyze forecasts, inventory levels, supply requirements, and related planning data.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing business needs.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and organizational levels.\nDemonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to use available information to make timely, well-informed decisions.\nSkills & Competencies\nCultural Savvy - Demonstrates Neogen's Pillars of Trust-Openness, Honesty, Credibility, Respect, and Service -through actions, behaviors, decisions, and communication.\nCommunication - Communicates clearly and effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, adapts communication to the audience, and actively listens to understand business needs and priorities.\nCollaboration & Leadership - Leads by example and contributes to a culture of trust, accountability, and teamwork while building productive cross-functional relationships.\nDecision Making & Problem Solving - Identifies and evaluates relevant information, recognizes potential risks or constraints, and makes timely, informed decisions to support business objectives.\nDriving Performance - Maintains focus and accountability, meets productivity and performance expectations, seeks opportunities for improvement, and knows when to engage others for support.\nOrganizational Strategy - Understands how individual responsibilities contribute to broader supply chain and organizational objectives and demonstrates curiosity about the needs of the business.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.
