Our ecosystem includes Influencers.com, a platform helping creators grow their businesses and unlock new opportunities.\nWe’re seeking an experienced engineer to strengthen our data infrastructure and build practical AI-powered tools.\nRole Overview\nThe Senior Data & AI Engineer will connect business systems, improve data quality, and develop reliable tools that help teams work efficiently and make better decisions.\nThis is a hands-on individual contributor role, owning work from discovery through deployment. You will work directly with product leadership and collaborate with engineering and business teams to deliver focused solutions with measurable impact.\nThe initial engagement will prioritize a defined data integration and an AI-enabled workflow, with scope and milestones established at kickoff.\nKey Responsibilities\nData Infrastructure and Integrations\nAssess existing data sources and workflows to identify gaps and opportunities\nBuild integrations connecting APIs, databases, and business applications\nStandardize records, resolve duplicates, and establish consistent data definitions\nImplement validation, monitoring, and error handling\nAI Tools and Automation\nBuild tools for research, information retrieval, analysis, and recurring workflows\nConnect AI applications to approved internal systems and data\nUse AI coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining quality and reliability\nEvaluate accuracy, usefulness, and cost, with appropriate access controls and human review\nProduct Development and Delivery\nTranslate business requirements into realistic technical milestones\nShip prototypes, incorporate user feedback, and deploy successful tools into production\nCommunicate progress, tradeoffs, and blockers\nMeasure adoption, time savings, and operational improvements\nDocumentation and Knowledge Transfer\nMaintain company-owned code, architecture documentation, and deployment instructions\nCollaborate with engineering on security, maintenance, and system ownership\nEnsure internal teams can operate and extend delivered solutions\nRequirements\nExperience and Technical Skills\n5+ years in data engineering, backend engineering, or a related field\nDemonstrated experience deploying AI applications used by teams or customers\nStrong Python and SQL skills\nExperience with APIs, authentication, data pipelines, relational databases, and cloud infrastructure\nPractical understanding of retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, structured outputs, and evaluation\nExperience with testing, version control, monitoring, and secure credential management\nExecution and Ownership\nAbility to take an ambiguous business problem through deployment\nSound judgment about when to use AI, conventional software, or a simpler process\nComfortable working with fragmented or inconsistent data\nAble to scope realistically, deliver in short cycles, and communicate clearly\nAccountable for implementation, troubleshooting, documentation, and handoff\nPreferred Experience\nCreator economy, influencer marketing, advertising technology, or SaaS\nIntegrating CRM, financial, marketing, or operational systems\nEntity resolution, data modeling, and internal tool development\nApplication Materials\nTwo relevant projects outlining your contribution and measurable results\nGitHub profile, portfolio, or technical case study, if available\nEarliest start date, weekly availability, and preferred hourly rate\nSuccess Criteria\n30 days: Complete a focused data assessment, agree on priorities, and demonstrate an initial integration\n60 days: Deliver a usable workflow connected to the selected data sources and incorporate user feedback\n90 days: Demonstrate measurable value and complete reliability improvements, documentation, and knowledge transfer\nCompensation\nPaid, part-time contract engagement with compensation based on experience, availability, and agreed scope. Weekly hours will be established before the engagement begins.
