Lead Mobile Developer

As our App Lead, you will own and drive the engineering architecture for NeoSapien's consumer application, working directly alongside our CTO and Product leadership. You will lead mobile engineering end-to-end, setting code quality standards, defining release readiness, and mentoring engineers while remaining active in hands-on coding.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Ownership: Own the technical path from agreed scope to production release. Surface dependencies, test plans, and rollout strategies with Product, backend, and firmware teams early.
• Core Application Reliability: Guarantee high performance and stability across BLE connections, background execution, offline data recovery, audio streaming, and battery optimisation.
• Technical Standards and Code Quality: Establish review standards for async behaviour, memory management, security, and test coverage. Set strict release gates to ensure production readiness.
• Team Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and empower engineers through feature ownership, code reviews, and architectural alignment without creating delivery bottlenecks.

Requirements:

• Proven Leadership: 4-7 years of mobile experience, with hands-on experience as an App Lead, Mobile Lead, or Tech Lead driving production releases and reviewing code.
• Mobile Engineering Depth: Strong mobile fundamentals with hands-on Flutter/Dart experience and sufficient native iOS/Android depth to debug framework-level issues.
• Scale and Domain Experience: Experience building consumer-facing mobile apps at scale (e. g., Swiggy, PhonePe, CRED) or companion apps for connected devices/wearables (e. g., Ultrahuman, Ather).
• Pragmatic Execution: Ability to balance delivery speed with code quality, investigate production incidents, and resolve technical trade-offs independently.
• Modern Engineering Workflow: Thoughtful application of AI tooling to accelerate development while ensuring code safety and data security.
