Confirms material supply and demands and prepares production orders for the production of assemblies based on a master production schedule, sales orders, or direction of the Master Scheduler. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Quality, Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Inventory.\nThis position will additionally back up and assist the Master Scheduler.\nDescription of Master Scheduler:\nThis position is responsible for developing the master production schedule to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory and incorporating labor/machine capacities into the master schedule. An effective master production schedule will provide production, planning, purchasing and management the information to plan operations to optimize the business and meet customer requirements. The qualified individual will be responsible for providing production with a production plan consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast. Will evaluate and analyzes data regarding processes and systems, resolve problems with inventory, production schedules, or materials shortages and recommend procedures to avoid future problems. The sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations and internal capacity will be used to develop production plans. This position will also build, track and discuss the revenue plan, and have large input into SIOP meetings and discussions. Strong collaboration with Business Development, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance will be critical to meeting the business goals.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n This is a fully on-site position. No Remote work, No relocation.\nDevelop, analyze and maintain the master production schedule to drive manufacturing schedules and procurement.\nDetermine ability to meet requested customer dates based on capacity, cycle time and inventory lead times.\nConduct capacity analysis.\nConduct inventory scenario analysis and “what if” scenario’s.\nCreate and maintain the SMT Schedule.\nWork with buyers and production planners to adjust build schedules based on material due dates and technical issues.\nLeads daily production meetings as well as multiple other meetings.\nRelease work orders weekly to optimize workflow for kitting.\nMaintains and updates work orders.\nExpedites, closes and reconciles work orders; Works with Quality and Production to close work orders in a timely manner.\nRe-evaluates and adjusts work order quantities and dates.\nEvaluates open work orders for stragglers and issues; works with Production, Quality and Management to determine best actions.\nVerifies work orders match in Epicor and Aegis, investigates and resolves issues.\nRuns and analyzes Material Requirement Planning (MRP) reports.\nProvide material alignment status to work order statuses on Work Order Summary Review (WOSR). \nProvides commitment dates and updates to Sales and Management.\nWorks with manufacturing supervisors to obtain feedback about production status.\nGather data to support production meetings.\nComplies with quality procedures and guidelines.\nCompletes special projects and compiles special reports as required.\nInitiate the Demand Change Authorization Form (“DCAF”) for new demand load or changes to the existing schedule within the guidelines of the Closed Loop Planning Process and manage the sales order process. \nEnsure on-time delivery of material kits to production. \nParticipate in the ECO Implementation for open manufacturing orders (WIP). \nManage materials relating to the procurement process through the MRB function. \nReport ongoing delivery status to CFT. Expedite material through purchasing and reprioritize production plans as required. \nWork directly within the CFT to coordinate all demand and supply actions to align materials to planned manufacturing work orders. \nProvide direction and demand change recommendations to the CFT based on material and short-term capacity constraints. \nMonitor schedule adherence and weekly shipments as well as production efficiency analyzing standard hours vs. actual hours expended\nWill coordinate with production any changes to schedules\nCommunicate new ship dates to the CFT based on escalated final material-in dates. \nMust be results-driven and assertive with strong analytical and communication skills\nMust be able to work OT as required on month end/quarter end/fiscal year end.\nPerform all other duties, as required. \nQualifications\nEducation and Expertise / Experience:\nBA/BS Degree plus 10 years direct experience, or combination of education plus 10-15 years direct production planning experience required. \nKnowledge of PCBA manufacturing preferred.\nExperience with electronics manufacturing preferred.\nExperience in contract manufacturing a plus.\nExtensive experience as a Production Planner in a Manufacturing environment, required. \nPossesses Senior level Planning knowledge with a thorough understanding of Capacity Planning Principles, required.\nThorough understanding of major MRP systems is required. (Epicor, SAP, etc.) \nCurrent APICS or ISM Certification a plus.\nAdvanced Excel skills are required.\nAbility to read a multilevel BOM, drawings, and specifications is required.\nFamiliarity with outside processing required.\nDirect experience working in an AS9100 & ITAR environment preferred.\nExcellent organizational skills, problem solving techniques, and accuracy are essential.\nExcellent communications skills are required. \nMust be highly detail oriented.\nDue to ITAR and / or CUI compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen.\nBenefits Offered: Comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage; company-paid basic life/AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance; voluntary supplemental insurances, flexible spending accounts and employee assistance program (EAP).
