This role is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with up to two years of experience who are passionate about developing enterprise and mobile applications.\n\nRole Overview\n\nThe Associate Software Engineer translates functional requirements into reliable technical implementations. They design and optimize database structures, develop PL/SQL logic, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless software experiences. They act as technical enablers, ensuring that Neptune’s platforms run efficiently, securely, and in alignment with client and organizational objectives.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nApplication & Database Development\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL scripts, packages, procedures, and triggers\nBuild and optimize SQL queries to ensure maximum performance and reliability\n\nTechnical Analysis & Solution Design\n\nAnalyse business and system requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions\nMobile UI/UX principles\nMobile application integration with REST APIs\n\nDatabase Administration\n\nExecute backups, restores, data migration, and general database maintenance\nMonitor database health and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards\n\nIssue Resolution & System Stability\n\nDebug and troubleshoot production issues to maintain system uptime and reliability\nImplement fixes and enhancements aligned with Neptune’s quality standards\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\n\nWork closely with business consultants, project managers, and technical teams to deliver projects on time\nSupport solution deployment and ensure smooth integration across environments\n\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\n\nEducation\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields\n\nTechnical Expertise\n\nStrong SQL, PL/SQL, and Java programming skills\n1+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development\nExperience in database administration and performance tuning\nProficiency in business intelligence and data visualization\nExpertise in Docker and Kubernetes\nUnderstanding of Linux/Unix administration, networking concepts, and system troubleshooting\nFamiliarity with SDLC methodologies\nKnowledge of enterprise application integration.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms is an added advantage.\nUnderstanding of secure software development practices.\nKnowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.\nExperience with payment systems, APIs, or financial applications is an added advantage.\n\nSoft Skills\n\nStrong analytical, Associate Software Engineer problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills;
