We offer business applications and support, and empower businesses with tech talent to maximize business value in today’s competitive tech space.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Legal Research Assistant \n\nLocation: Asaba, Delta\n\nEmployment Type: Contract\n\nEngagement: 20 working days | Fixed-term contract\n\nWork arrangement: 10 consecutive days on-site, followed by remote work\n\nStart: Immediate\n\nJob Summary\n\nNerdbug is seeking a meticulous Legal Research Assistant for a four-week discovery engagement.\nYou will support an investigation into the institution’s legal records, document flows, and operational processes. Your responsibility is to capture, verify, and organize the evidence that enables the project team to make reliable findings.\nDetail matters. Evidence matters even more.\n\nWhat you’ll do\n\nReview court files, charge sheets, legal opinions, suit registers and judgments.\nMaintain daily project records and prepare, proofread and index report appendices.\nDocument how files and correspondence move through the central registry and other offices.\nVerify departmental structures, staffing figures, case registers and publication backlogs.\nType and clean interview notes within 24 hours of each session.\nTrace closed legal files and record each step and its date.\n\nWhat we’re looking for\n\nPatience with repetitive research and comfort working full days in a government registry.\nPidgin or a local language spoken in the South-South region is also beneficial.\nBeing called to the Nigerian Bar and experience in a court registry, law firm, chambers, or public institution, including NYSC placement, are advantages.\nBasic spreadsheet skills and availability for on-site work in Asaba.\nAbility to read court files and summarize them accurately.\nAn LLB or final-year standing in a Nigerian law faculty.\nExcellent attention to detail, written communication, and record-keeping skills.\n\nHow to Apply\n\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:  with \"Research Assistant, Legal\" as the subject of the email.\n\nNote: Applications are reviewed as they come in.
