We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.\nWhat you will be doing\nAs a Field Instructor, you’ll serve as the lead of a Mobile Training Team (MTT), delivering mission-critical training to warfighters across the U.S. and abroad. You’ll report to the Training Lead and act as the primary point of contact for your training deployments-owning classroom delivery, managing logistics, interfacing with customer stakeholders, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and instructional clarity.\nYou will deliver comprehensive training through classroom instruction, hands-on exercises, and live flight instruction, ensuring students develop the technical knowledge, practical skills, and operational proficiency required for successful system employment. You will assess individual performance against standardized evaluation criteria, maintain professional engagement with military leaders and operational teams, and support unit-level training to enhance readiness and capability integration. Additionally, you will contribute to curriculum development, training equipment management, and the continuous refinement of instructional methods through field-informed feedback and operational lessons learned.\nThis role is remote and requires travel expectations of 50%.\nResponsibilities\nServe as the lead instructor and customer-facing point of contact for all assigned field training operations\nDeliver classroom instruction using standardized Neros curriculum, ensuring engagement and comprehension across varying skill levels\nCoach students through hands-on troubleshooting and system operation while adapting instruction to their skill level, mission needs, and field conditions\nManage pre- and post-course logistics, including scheduling, site setup, gear preparation, and customer coordination\nMaintain detailed training records, rosters, sign-in sheets, and pass/fail assessments using defined grading criteria\nSubmit after-action reports, performance summaries, and feedback to the Training Lead\nIdentify trends or challenges in student performance and provide structured feedback to help refine future curriculum\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mission Success, to ensure training aligns with operational realities and system capabilities\nProvide end user feedback across internal departments to inform product development and drive continuous improvement\nMaintain professionalism and instructional quality across both classroom and range environments\nYou should have the following\nPrior military experience or experience working with the military (strongly preferred)\nExperience teaching, coaching, or mentoring adults in technical or tactical environments (strongly preferred)\nPossess a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or obtain certification within 45 days of hire\nExceptional communication, facilitation, and classroom leadership skills\nFamiliarity with FPV systems and UAS operations, including basic air and ground components\nConfidence leading groups in both classroom and field environments, with the ability to adapt on the fly\nExperience using flight simulators as part of training programs (preferred)\nWorking knowledge and experience with ATAK (preferred)\nStrong organizational and documentation skills, including grading, reporting, and inventory tracking\nA high level of composure and professionalism in fast-paced or austere conditions\nInitiative and commitment to continuous professional development, with an emphasis on technical and tactical proficiency\nA mission-first mindset, willingness to travel, and a strong sense of ownership over training outcomes\nUS Salary Range\n$67,500 - $94,500 USD\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
