Collaboration is key, and we believe in flexible, smart ways of working.\nMore about the job\nYour role in our team / in creating a sustainable future\nReliability & Availability\nResponsible for developing standards or procedures to support asset integrity and reliability program on site. \nLead refinery-wide reliability improvement initiatives for static equipment through proactive identification and mitigation of equipment degradation mechanisms.\nResponsible to upkeep Reliability Risk Register for static equipment, ensure risk ranking are updated\nDevelopment of robust reliability programs including RCM to upkeep mechanical equipment reliability / availability\nDevelop critical spare part strategy to minimize prolonged unplanned downtime\nDrive Preventive Maintenance (PM) optimization \nProvide mechanical static engineering support to the Neste Singapore Refinery for safe and reliable operations. Responsibilities include engineering assessment, - engineering design, troubleshooting & solutions and long term equipment improvement initiatives\nOversee reviews of new equipment and infrastructure, ensuring asset strategies are aligned with long-term reliability and performance goals.\nEnsure compliant to Asset Integrity and Reliability framework.\nSupport in RBI development on site. \nDevelop inspection strategy & plan together with Inspection Team, ensuring timely inspections of critical equipment and systems.\nSupport in regular audits to assess the effectiveness of the asset integrity system, identifying potential risks and gaps and ensure the asset integrity systems - comply with all regulatory requirements, including safety standards and codes of practice.\nDevelop and implement long-term Asset Master Plans (AMP) for static assets aligned with refinery business objectives\nTA Execution & Technical Support\nProvide mechanical static technical support for site projects (new/on-going), ensuring asset integrity is considered during design, construction, and execution phases.\nLead troubleshooting efforts for complex mechanical equipment failures \nLead the right scope provision (as per reliability strategy) for turnaround and shutdown with the relevant justification.\nEnsure all equipment and maintenance activities are compliant with statutory regulations (e.g., MOM), industry codes, and safety standards.\nReview post-turnaround reliability performance.\nContinuous Improvement\nInitiate and raise Management of Change (MOC) for proposed improvement of piping/equipment \nInitiate CAPEX project and go through project approval process with development team from feasibility study until implementation stage \nAccountable for timely closure of NCR and MOC\nConduct and lead the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures\nAs a bad actor champion in identifying, analyzing and eliminating bad actor static equipment \nEnsure all equipment and maintenance activities are compliant with statutory regulations (e.g., MOM), industry codes, and safety standards.\nKeys to success in this role\n\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering.\nMinimum 10-15 years in the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Industry as an Mechanical or Fixed Equipment Engineer. \nPrior Experience in Maintenance, Asset management, Projects and Turnaround execution \nKnowledgeable with international standards API/ASME, petroleum /petrochemical plant materials and equipment \nWell versed in flange management, repair of pressure equipment & design standard of static equipment including valves \nBasic understanding of damage mechanism and relevant inspection codes \nExperienced in maintenance work control, planning, reliability methodologies.\nTechnical Skills:\n- Intermediate skills - ASME PCC-1, PCC-2, API 560, API 660, API 653, API 650, API 598, TEMA\n- Foundation skills - ASME Section VIII, API 571 (Level 1), API 579\n\nOther strengths we value\nGood communication with strategic thinking, strong problem-solving skills,\n\nGood stakeholder management and collaborative skillset\n\nCommitment to safety, quality, and compliance standard\n\nLet’s get you started\n\nWe look forward to receiving your CV and application (with a salary request) by 21st September 2026.\nDue to security and confidentiality, please submit your application through our recruitment system.
