These are produced through controlled process plant and automated filling and packaging lines.\nAs Assistant Labour Planner, you will help ensure the right skills are available in the right production areas at the right time. You will turn workforce information into practical daily plans, improve visibility of labour performance and support better decisions around efficiency, flexibility and cost.\nYour Impact\nYou will coordinate the daily labour plan for the York factory, responding to changing production needs while supporting effective workforce deployment. By improving planning processes, data quality and stakeholder collaboration, you will help the site use its people and systems more effectively.\nLabour Planning: Create an effective daily labour plan that considers skills, training, holidays, absence, work restrictions and working time requirements.\nOperational Responsiveness: Adjust plans in response to plant performance, changing demand and labour shortages, helping production teams maintain continuity.\nProcess Improvement: Improve the use of PeoplePlan and related planning processes, reducing manual effort and increasing the value of workforce data.\nSkills Visibility: Maintain an accurate skills matrix that supports safe and flexible movement of colleagues between production areas.\nStakeholder Partnership: Work closely with Line Performance Managers, Shift Leaders, Production Planning, Finance, Supply Chain and the temporary labour provider to secure the best allocation of people.\nReporting and Administration: Improve labour KPI reporting, support monthly forecasts and help ensure worked hours and supplier invoices are processed accurately and on time.\nYour Ingredients for Success\nYou will combine practical planning and data capability with a collaborative approach.
