Annually, the Nestlé Purina team in Flagstaff proudly mass manufactures 280,000 tons of dry pet food from our Dog Chow®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Alpo®, and Pro Plan® brands. Our factory is also proud to do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.\nAs a Controls Technical Specialist II, you’ll provide control system support for day-to-day manufacturing operations through software upgrades, electrical and controls troubleshooting, and more. You will play an active role in capital project implementations and support initiatives to drive continuous improvement. Finally, you will identify and develop controls system solutions that comply with all requirements at all levels of project development including hardware and overall electrical design.\nEnsure the group’s work is prioritized and completed properly, efficiently, and in line with project timelines.\nDesign, test, install, and troubleshoot controls system software and hardware upgrades utilizing structured text and ladder logic.\nCreate documentation such as hardware specifications, descriptions of operations, electrical bid specs, ladder logic descriptors, and back-ups.\nTrain Production Operators, Maintenance Technicians, and other staff on operation, troubleshooting, and improvement of controls systems as needed.\nDevelop project scopes and estimates while providing planning, scheduling, and prioritization.\nCreate PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions for plant operation aligned with all safety and company standards.\nRequirements\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.\n5+ years’ applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or HMI-systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments \nOR\nAssociate’s degree in a technical discipline.\n3+ years’ applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or HMI-systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments \nSalary: $84,863.70 to $115,982.00 per year\nBonus Eligibility: Yes\nThe pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
