coordinating compliance, performance, and capability development across factory operations.\nThe Specialist drives the implementation of Corporate standards, interpret regulations, standardization, and continuous improvement of Safety, Health and Environment systems.\nThe role provides advice, support, technical expertise, strategic direction, and oversight to sites, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, Nestlé policies, and SH&E management systems.\nIt fosters a culture where safety, health, and environmental sustainability are embedded as core business values and operational priorities.\nResponsibilities:\nSafety, Health and Environmental Governance & Compliance Leadership\nServe as a corporate contact and technical resource for safety, health and environmental compliance\nGuide sites on SHE related policies, procedures, and compliance including:\nRegulatory reporting, permits, and compliance obligations\nMonitoring, inspections, records, and routine follow-up\nAudit readiness, system conformance, and compliance assurance\n Advise sites during inspections and audits, including gap closure.\nSupport safety investigations and corrective actions for incidents, spills, releases, and non-compliance.\nIntegrated SH&E Risk Management\nSupport the integration of environmental risk with safety and health risk frameworks.\nPartner with operations to update and maintain risk assessments for:\nEnvironmental aspects and impacts\nSafety and Health risks\nOperational and project changes affecting permits, waste, emissions, wastewater, utilities, or controls\nReview changes to identify compliance needs and controls before implementation.\nAnalyze safety and environmental trends to reduce risk proactively.\nManagement Systems & Continuous Improvement\n• Drive implementation and improvement of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and SH&E systems across sites, including:\nStandardize SH&E standards, procedures, and best practices\nUse consistent audit tools, gap reviews, tracking, and readiness processes\nTrack and close system and compliance gaps on time\nPartner with sites to manage environmental aspects, impacts, and controls\nCapability Building & Culture\nDevelop SH&E training and guidance to build compliance, systems, and audit readiness.\nBuild site capability to:\nInterpret and apply environmental, safety and ISO requirements\nManage compliance systems, prepare for audits, and close gaps\nPromote environmental stewardship, accountability, and disciplined follow-through.\nStakeholder Engagement & Corporate Influence\nAct as corporate liaison with:\nRegulatory agencies\nExternal consultants and legal council\nPartner with SH&E, operations, engineering, maintenance, and other functions on compliance.\nCoordinate auditors, consultants, and other resources on assessments and corrective actions.\nIntegrate environmental and SH&E requirements into business processes.\nSupport ESG/sustainability reporting and alignment with corporate priorities.\nData, Reporting & Performance Management\nDrive consistent environmental KPI tracking, accuracy and reporting across sites.\nServe as backup for NestCare reporting.\nSupport compliance activities, audits, and management reviews.\nUse data to identify trends, recurring gaps, and improvement opportunities.\nMeasurements / Performance Indicators\nClose audit findings and gaps on time\nComplete reporting, permit deliverables, and records accurately and on time\nImprove ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 maturity and audit readiness\nDeliver effective environmental and management system training\nReduce repeat findings, non-compliance, and overdue actions\nKey Relationships\nCorporate SH&E impact\nIndustry networks and sustainability partners\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related fields3+ years of experience in environmental compliance or a related SH&E function in a manufacturing environment\nWorking knowledge of applicable EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations\nKnowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems\nExperience in manufacturing operations and operational processes\nProfessional certification in environmental, safety, or industrial hygiene disciplines is preferred\nTravel up to 75%\nSkills:\nTechnical
