This role is part of the Quality Assurance team and will be responsible to perform various lab analyses, document results, and contribute to a safe and quality product for our consumers.\nA day in the life of a Lab Technician:\nFollow all job-related guidelines and procedures for personal safety, food safety, environment and company security (including but not limited to use of PPE’s, Hazard Analysis, chemical spills, recycling …) as required. Be a role model for Quality and GMP’s.\nWork in a manner that provides maximum safety to yourself and your fellow associates\nFollow NCE (Nestlé Continuous Excellence) principles \nPerform routine lab analysis and QA duties following the Quality procedures and standards including:\nAnalyze samples, including micro plating and chemical analysis \nDocument results (e.g. in SAP) and organize test results for records review and analysis\nCalibrate and maintain lab equipment, including housekeeping, cleaning, and 5S\nPerform daily records review of raw material, in-process, and finished product quality data\nResponsible for the release of materials meeting quality specifications\nPerform test on pre-operational microbiological samples, review test results, coordinate any corrective actions, and manage test data\nCommunicate results to other departments within factory\nResponsible for blocking of any product that does not meet quality specifications\nWork with other departments to initiate corrective actions and conduct root cause investigations\nResponsible for sensory panels and any other sensory-related duties \nAdhere to Quality Monitoring Scheme (QMS) and put corrective action in place in case of deviation.\nKnow and adhere to GMP’s to prevent product contamination with foreign materials, bacteria or allergens;\nChampion a non-negotiable attitude for Quality and Safety\nOther duties as assigned by management.\nWhat will make you successful?\nB.Sc. in biology, microbiology, Chemistry, nutrition or science/food related field or a college diploma in science/food related field\nRelevant work experience in a laboratory environment\nExperience in analytical methods and have the ability to accurately perform various physical, chemical and microbiological testing.\nExcellent communication skills to be able to effectively communicate within the department and with other departments via emails, in person, or on the phone.\nGreat attention to details is a must. Any failure can pose risks to Quality or Food Safety.\nAbility to effectively work with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Outlook, Excel).\nAbility to carry out jobs/tasks with minimum supervision.\nIndependent decision-making ability and possess good organizational skills.\nInterpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in the team environment.\nSAP knowledge will be an asset.\nWe have a friendly, supportive team with a coaching and mentoring environment.
