A background in a food/dietary supplement industry a plus. Ability to work in a strong team-based environment is essential. The production supervisor operates out of the manufacturer in Sudbury, MA and reports to the Sr. Production Manager. This position fills in as a back-up in the absence of the Sr. Production Manager.\nWORK SCHEDULE: 4x10 shift: Wednesday-Saturday, 2:30 PM-1:00 AM.\nJOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES\nOversees and manage completion of batch production records\nSupervise production line employees, ensuring assigned tasks and positions are being executed\nLeads structured problem solving through Go See Think Do (GSTD) methodologies by identifying abnormalities, investigating root causes at the source, developing corrective actions, and ensuring sustainable resolution of operational, quality, safety, and people-related issues\nDevelops, implements, and coaches team members on operational standards, standard work, and SOPs; verifies adherence through routine floor observation, feedback, and capability development to ensure consistent safety, quality, and production performance\nAlerts management of issues with equipment or materials\nMaintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.\nResolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.\nContributes to SOP development and ensures team members are trained in and following SOP’s.\nEnsuring the manufacturing and packaging operations and production employees comply with food safety, quality, and cGMP requirements under HACCP, NSF and SQF programs\nTrained in and ensures the team is following GMP processes and procedures.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nOther duties as assigned\nProblem Solving\nTimely closure of GSTD action plans.\nReduction of recurring operational losses. (US reduction)\nEffective root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation. (Standards Developed and Coached)\nStandards & Capability Building\nCreation and maintenance of line standards and standard work.\nOperator qualification and cross-training progress.\nSustained compliance to SOPs, GMPs, and shop-floor standards.\nCoaching effectiveness observed during floor audits and DOR routines.\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS\nHigh school diploma, Associates degree preferred\nEXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS\nMust have 1-3 years previous production supervisory experience\nAbility to maintain quality and safety control standards\nBasic understanding of warehousing and concepts\nHighly organized, able to multi-task, and follow direction set by the manager\nGood communication skills and comfortable working will all team members\nAbility to lift 15-20 lb. boxes repeatedly\nAble to stand for extended amounts of time\nMust have prior experience working in a food manufacturing environment\nAbility to work a flexible schedule that will include some weekends\nMust be able to read, write and understand English\nMust be fluent and bilingual in both English and Vietnamese languages.\nAbility to work overtime as needed.\nThe approximate pay range for this position is $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 base salary.
