Just a stone's throw from downtown, where the city's culture comes to life, we get to experience the best of both worlds: the city and the mountains. Annually, the Nestlé Purina team in Flagstaff proudly mass manufactures 280,000 tons of dry pet food from our Dog Chow®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Alpo®, and Pro Plan® brands. Our factory is also proud to do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.\nThe Production Operator positions are a vital piece of our manufacturing operations. You will be required to meet all Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental standards when performing job duties. The primary responsibilities in these roles include but are not limited to operating various lines of equipment in production, packaging, moving raw material or finished packaged good with a forklift or other pallet jack, and providing relief for absences or vacations. These roles exist on all three shifts and the opportunity for mandatory or voluntary overtime exist on these shifts and weekends, as required.\nSupply production lines and meat prep stations with adequate supplies to ensure continuous operations.\nMeasure, weigh, blend and add materials to manual or automated systems, adjust speeds, temperatures, as needed.\nPull samples and perform quality test, assist on quality trials or deliver test samples to Quality Assurance.\nVisually inspect ingredients and any substandard pallets or cans and remove any foreign materials from products.\nClean and sanitize work areas and equipment ensuring safe practices when mixing cleaning chemicals used in the sanitation process.\nSafely and efficiently operate, troubleshoot, and make minor repairs on operating equipment and use lock out procedures, as prescribed.\nSupport the factory in continuous improvement initiatives.\nAll other duties as assigned\n**MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 6PM-6AM .**\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n1+ years of experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing, industrial, food handling, food safety, military, or related environment preferred.\nPay: $28.99 per hour\nBonus Eligibility: Yes\nThe pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
