Situated at a transportation crossroads, it offers quick access to major cities like Baltimore, Boston, and New York. As one of the largest manufacturers in the area, we produce a wide range of dry pet food, including beloved brands like Puppy Chow®, Pro Plan®, and Friskies®. Join us in Mechanicsburg, where small-town living meets big-city perks, and together, we make a difference.\nAs a QA Techician (Bacteriologist), you will be responsible for ensuring food safety and microbiological testing for all pet food manufactured at this location. Day to day will be collecting and testing samples in the lab, generating reports, and release of product. Additionally, you will play a key role in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.\nCollects, tests, and analyzes environmental and finished product samples.\nAct as the final QA step of release for non-hold product, executing product release in SAP, and post testing.\nReview and update sanitation practices.\nInitiate corrective action processes for out of specification results.\nMaintain Internal Control Plan including maintenance and verification of lab equipment, calibrations, and hygienic lab conditions.\nEffectively work with interdepartmental personnel in order to maintain a good flow of safety, quality, and production information throughout the plant.\nRequirements:\nAssociates Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field and 1+ years of quality or laboratory experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment\nOR\nA High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 3+ years of quality or laboratory experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment\nSalary: $44,038.80 to $63,464.00 per year\nBonus Eligibility: Yes\nThe pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
