Please note that the core working hours for this role are based on the Eastern Time Zone (EST).\nWhat success in this role looks like\nSuccess is defined by your ability to translate business requirements into clear, scalable solution blueprints for the nesto Mortgage Cloud. This includes proactively mitigating technical risks and advocating for modern architectural best practices like Microservices and Domain-Driven Design. Ultimately, you will succeed by collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners while ensuring all designs strictly adhere to established enterprise standards.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nTranslate business requirements into clear technical specifications, diagrams, and data models to drive the solution development.\nDesign an end-to-end solution blueprint for new products, platform enhancements, and integrations.\nEvaluate and select tools, frameworks, cloud services, databases, and integration patterns for specific solution\nEnsure all proposed solutions strictly adhere to established enterprise architecture standards and the overall technology strategy.\nCommunicate architectural designs and the trade-offs involved clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nManage risk by proactively identifying and mitigating potential technical risks and challenges within the design.\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams, including Product Managers, Developers, and QA.\nEngage with external partners and vendors for integration design.\nPromote and advocate for modern architectural best practices, including Microservices, Domain-Driven Design, and Event-Driven Architecture.\nWho we are looking for\n8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a dedicated Solution or Software Architecture role.\nDeep understanding of cloud-native architectures and major cloud provider platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), with a preference for GCP.\nExperience designing and implementing reliable Microservices architectures, including good practices for API design (like REST/GraphQL) and inter-service communication.\nStrong hands-on experience and advocacy for domain-driven Design principles and event-driven architecture, including patterns like event sourcing and command query responsibility segregation.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical designs to both technical (developers, engineers) and non-technical (Product Managers, business leaders) audiences.\nCommitted to staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and continuous learning.\nStrong understanding of software development methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).\nBachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).\nPreferred but not a must\nExperience in start-up or scale-up environments.\nBilingualism in French and English.\nYou shouldn't apply if\nYou are not interested in a role that involves frequent client-facing work or high-level stakeholder negotiation.\nYou have no passion for the fintech or mortgage technology space and are unwilling to develop domain expertise.\nInterview Process\nRecruiter Screen - 30 minutes\nDiscovery Call with the hiring manager - 30 minutes\nTake-home Assignment / Case study followed by a Presentation and Q&A - 60 minutes\nFinal Non-Technical Interview with additional stakeholders - 60 minutes\nCriminal Record and Reference Checks + Offer\nThe Reward\nThe A-Team: Work alongside high-performing talent in the industry.\nAccelerated Growth: The slope of your learning curve here will be vertical.
