Success in this role depends on translating customer and market needs into clear product decisions, helping NetApp strengthen its leadership in hybrid and multi-cloud data management, and driving meaningful business impact.\nJob Responsibility\nDrive the product vision, strategy, and business plans for Cloud Volumes ONTAP, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market opportunities, and company objectives.\nIdentify and evaluate customer needs, market trends, and competitive developments to inform product direction and investment priorities.\nOwn key areas of the product lifecycle, including discovery, planning, roadmap development, prioritization, delivery, and ongoing optimization.\nDefine and prioritize product requirements that deliver differentiated value across cloud storage, data management, automation, cyber resilience, and operational simplicity.\nPartner closely with engineering leaders to translate product strategy into roadmap investments and successful customer outcomes.\nWork directly with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud teams to strengthen product integrations, align on strategic priorities, and support joint customer success.\nDefine and drive the strategy for AI-driven and automation capabilities, identifying opportunities to improve usability, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes while ensuring alignment with product and business objectives.\nGather and synthesize customer feedback, usage data, competitive insights, and market research to identify opportunities, validate investments, and guide roadmap decisions.\nDevelop a strong understanding of industry trends and adjacent technologies to help shape future product investments and maintain competitive differentiation.\nPartner with product marketing, sales, support, and customer success teams to ensure effective positioning, successful launches, and strong customer adoption.\nDefine and track key product and business metrics, using data to assess performance, measure customer value, and inform decision-making.\nLead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, business, and partner teams to align priorities, manage trade-offs, and deliver measurable business results.\nAct as the voice of the customer and a trusted product leader, balancing customer needs, technical considerations, and business objectives to drive impactful outcomes.\nJob Requirements\n10+ years of product management experience in, enterprise software, cloud, or storage technology businesses. \nProven experience delivering technology products from concept through launch and ongoing iteration. \nStrong experience working across engineering, product management, GTM, marketing, support, and partner teams. \nExperience with cloud technologies is required; experience with storage technologies is a strong advantage. \nFamiliarity with cloud platforms and IaaS/PaaS products, especially AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. \nProven ability to define product requirements, prioritize effectively, and drive execution across multiple projects and stakeholders. \nExperience using customer insights, usage analytics, and market data to guide product decisions. \nUnderstanding of AI-driven product capabilities, automation, and emerging trends in enterprise software is an advantage. \nFamiliarity with AI governance, compliance, and security considerations is an advantage. \nStrong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. \nDemonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without relying solely on formal authority. \nComfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of ownership and bias for action. \nDemonstrated focus on driving measurable customer and business outcomes. \nEducation\nBachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, a master’s degree; or equivalent experience is required.\nCompensation:\nThe target salary range for this position is 196,350 - 292,600 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
